Knockout Kings 2001

In the end, Knockout Kings 2001 is easily the best iteration of the series thus far, thanks to improved AI, cleaner graphics, and tighter controls. Fans of the series and the sport of boxing will find that the game is a lot more balanced than last year's title, which makes the matchups between fighters like Lennox Lewis and David Tua in the game more realistic. So if you've been waiting for a realistic PlayStation boxing game, this is about as good as you're going to get.

Voor een PSX game ziet Knockout Kings er heel goed uit en ook de controls laten niets te wensen over. De weinige boksfans zullen hun hart ophalen.

Electronic Arts senaste boxningsalster är inte någon effektfull våldsorgie i stil med Tekken och dess likar, men det är definitivt inte dåligt för det. Knockout Kings 2001 är ett godkänt och realistiskt boxningsspel, men om man har de tidigare två delarna i spelserien bör man dock vara sjukligt intresserad av upplägget för att få ut något av spelet.

Boxen wie die Profis ist hier angesagt. Kämpfen Sie u.a. mit Evander "The Real Deal" Holyfield, oder als der legendäre Mohamed Ali. Sie haben die Auswahl zwischen der Leicht-, Mittel-, und Schwer- Gewichtsklasse. Treten Sie in einen Schaukampf der Weltmeister an, oder starten Sie eine Karriere mit einem eigens gestalteten Kämpfer. Die Grafik kann sich sehen lassen und die recht komplexe Steuerung ist auch gut gelungen.

Même s'il ne rassemblera sûrement pas autant de fans que Ready 2 Rumble, KO Kings présente néanmoins l'avantage de proposer un aspect simulation très riche qui permet des matches particulièrement réalistes. Le jeu n'est toutefois pas exempt de petits défauts et son extrême difficulté risque d'en rebuter plus d'un.
