I'm still trying to get the hairs on the back of my neck to lie down flat after experiencing the thrills of Moto Racer. I loved the idea of alternating between the extreme superbike circuits and the bumpy dirt tracks as you must alter your style of riding from race to race. The first descent motorbike racer to appear on the Playstation has been a long time coming but this was well worth the wait.

Moto Racer is a fabulous game in a sorely missed genre of motorcycle racing games. This game ranks high on my favorites and is only eclipsed by F1 championship for my favorite racer this year. If you love racing or motorcycles then do yourself a favor and go get this superb game.
With regard to lastability, you could argue that the game does suffer as it’s an arcade racer at heart, but that never stopped people feeding quid coins into such arcade classics as Super Hang On all those years ago. No, slight niggles aside, Moto Racer gets my vote any day of the week. A quick fix, mother of a racer that offers instant gratification and high-speed thrills.
On the whole, I liked this game. I think it got a higher score because it is diverse, original and good. I would have liked more tracks because once you finish all the tracks in every mode, there is not much motivation to go back unless you are playing a friend in the split screen mode. I think that racing fans will enjoy this game and I think it is about time we had a good motorcycle racing game to play. By the way, I was going to play a game of Tetris on my PC when I finished this review, but I don't have 3 hours to spend changing all of my settings and drivers. I guess I will just have to go for a couple more laps of Moto Racer.
But beside my nit-picking, Moto Racer is pure fun. And since there aren't that many motocross titles out there, this one has to be the best one available.
Sure, any racing game has the tendency to grow old eventually. But Moto Racer gets extra replay points for including a multiplayer option and a thumbs-up for being a racing title worth checking out.
