Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed

Het is geen Gran Turismo maar toch. Prachtige wagens in een hele goede racegame; Porsche- en NFS-fans unite!

Au final, Need For Speed : Porsche 2000 même s'il peut paraître un peu faible de ne conduire que des Porsches, propose tout de même un digne successeur de NFS 4 avec un moteur 3D léché et une qualité de gameplay toujours inégalée.

Porsche 2000 känns helt enkelt intesom någon förbättring jämfört med föregångarna Hot Pursuit och Road Challenge. Men visst är det ändå en viss känsla att kunna välja och vraka bland 356:or, 550:or, 911:or, 928:or, 944:or och några till. Är man Porsche-älskare bör man i alla fall testa Need for Speed: Porsche 2000 och det kan man förresten göra även om man inte är totalsåld på tyska sportbilar. Det finns nämligen en hel del kul här. Men något självklart köp är det inte.

It's been a few years since Sony released its one-note wonder, Porsche Challenge, to the masses. For Porsche fans it was a notable title, as it gave gamers a chance to drive Porsche's brand-new Boxster and, unfortunately, only the Boxster. Despite the fact that Porsche Challenge looked good (though it had some serious pop-up) and played reasonably well, it proved to be an aberration and was never graced with a sequel.

Although the game's replay feature is the best in the series with a variety of smooth camera angles, it is a wasted effort. There's just nothing worth seeing. Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed is a forgettable racer with all the depth of a shallow puddle, better suited for a rental than a purchase. It's more a footnote to the Need for Speed series than a chapter in itself.
