Novastorm

The Playstation video plays smoother and looks sharper than the 3DO or PC. The quality of the control, for another; the movement in the 3DO version was too loose, but the Playstation version has the perfect amount of momentum, inertia, and other big words. Best of all, Novastorm is tough enough so you won't beat it in a day, making the graphics all the more rewarding.

All things considered, Novastorm is a nice looking game that anyone can beat within a few hours time. The locales, over the enemies, will be your biggest problem, though it's not devastating to the game's overall enjoyment. While Novastorm is fun, it offers no variety and little replay as you'll always know what's going to happen. After getting fully powered, the game will be a breeze. Only for the die hard shooter fans or the occasional rental.

This game will hold you attention only until you tire of the scenery. Stick with the solid 16-bit shooters until a worthy game graces the next generation platforms.

It's frustrating and pretty bad. The best thing about it is the soundtrack, but even that's not enough to recommend this game to anyone.

The terrain you're being flown over interacts with you, which is pretty cool. However, it can also destroy you. And since you never know which way the track is going, you usually end up running into the very thing you were trying to avoid. This game is just one frustratingly annoying sequence after another. Don't bother.
