If you liked TM, you will love Rogue Trip. If you thought that TM was pointless, you should really enjoy the added ability to collect money and purchase upgrades. They did everything right with this game, and I think that it is better than anything previous to it. I think that it might not get the accolades that the TM series got, just because they were such a totally new thing that had never been done before, but we die-hards will know how good it is, and that is all that matters.

Overall this game is awesome. It is one of the best fighting car games yet. It is a fun game to play with friends. You will enjoy beating the pants off them once you get use to the controls and learn how to play it. You will never be able to put down the controller once you get started.

Strange, isn't it? SingleTrac go to GT and fall short of our high expectations with Rogue Trip. At the same time Sony hold onto the Twisted Metal franchise and fall short with the third game in the series. Everyone seems to be on a loser here. Look! You know precisely what you are getting into with Rogue Trip - endless hours of arcade vehicle shoot-em-up carnage. If that's your fix, then give it a whirl. But if I had to choose between Vigilante 8 and this then there would simply be no contest. V8 by a landslide.

Mega Fun

Rogue Trip's whimsical cars and stages are interesting but appear a bit sloppy. The energetic soundtrack includes some fine tunes from popular artists you're sure to recognize, and there's a nifty split-screen mode. Rogue Trip didn't push the limits of car combat, but its irreverent tone and multiplayer fun make it amusing nonetheless.

By this point, probably everyone knows that Rogue Trip is the spiritual successor to the Twisted Metal line of PlayStation auto-combat games. It was created by the developers of the original Twisted Metal and Twisted Metal 2: World Tour and even uses an optimized version of their old code. [There's] a lot of fun to be had here, and fans of any driving shooter will enjoy it, but those expecting as big of a leap as we saw from Twisted Metal to Twisted Metal 2 are going to feel Rogue Trip falls somewhat short.
