Sid Meier's Civilization II

Civilization II is a brilliant game of economic strategy in which you get to control your own destiny as well as that of your people. There is a lot riding on your every move, so you best plan accordingly...a tricky balance is a quirky thing and much more likely to crumble than it is to stay afloat. If you like strategy style games, there is nothing currently better on the Playstation than Civilization II. If you have always been curious about these types of game, there is a killer beginner's mode that will take you through the first steps in becoming a true world leader. Get this game, it's awesome!

Ik durf nauwelijks een kwaad woord te schrijven over Civilization II, aangezien de PC versie van deze titel door vele gamers op handen wordt gedragen. Toch zal het iedereen opvallen, dat de PlayStation-versie, die Activision van de oorspronkelijke PC-game heeft gepoort, er simpelweg niet uitziet. Toch blijft de opzet van Civ II zo sterk, dat het spel zelfs in deze versie nog steeds prima speelbaar blijft en je heel wat uurtjes vol strategisch speelplezier kan opleveren. Tenzij je een PC hebt staan natuurlijk, want dan haal je toch gewoon CTP in huis!

Unless you’re a die-hard Civilization fan and proudly display it as your Windows desktop theme, don’t bother buying this game. The graphics are too small, the user interface is clunky, and Activision missed a golden opportunity to take the best-selling game of all time to the next level.

Civilization är en mycket uppskattad titel på pc-datorer och nu finns den till Playstation. Spelet har gjorts mer arkad och det var väl inte så värst lyckat. Spelvyerna hjälper inte till heller. Har man sett pc-spelet finns ingen orsak att spela Civ till Playstation. Har man inte gjort det är det ett okej spel.
