Chef's Luv Shack is fun.
This is a game that you may want to rent, but the repeating questions, repeating speech, and dull minigames keep it from being a game you'd want to pop in whenever you need a simple party-style game.
All Game Guide
But alas, even the bright spot of this game has its blemish (or should I say humongous wart that would turn Claudia Schiffer into the Wicked Witch of the West?). Namely, your exposures to the mini-games are too limited and chosen at random. In other words, you have to endure minutes of lame questions in order to get even a five percent chance at another round of Bad Kitty. How hard would it have been for Acclaim to include a way for you to play the mini-games separately from the game show environment? I'd answer that question, but in keeping with the spirit of Chef's Luv Shack, you're all on your own.
Attention South Park fans: All that glitters is not necessarily golden. Sometimes, as is the case with Chef's Luv Shack, it's more poo than Mr. Hankey himself. A hastily cranked out trivia game shamelessly trying to make a buck off a great license for the holidays, this title takes everything You Don't Know Jack proved a trivia game could be on PlayStation and turns it on its head. Constant loading and horribly repetitive voice samples are the main fare on this plate full of crappiness, liberally spiced with the lamest interface ever seen in the genre. There is no option to choose question categories; the correct answer is not revealed if none of the contestants get it; and there is no explanation as to why an answer is right if someone guesses correctly. A dozen or so palette-swapped shareware rejects that pass as minigames are thrown in to pass as minigames, but the three seconds of fun they provide isn't worth the price of entry.
