Most background elements are 2D sprites with plenty of ugly pixellation if you draw near-come on Rebellion, a bit more effort was required here. And in play, with the elements that made R6 so unique on other platforms gone or impossible-such as the planning phase, need for stealth and necessity for precise, controlled movement-it feels and plays more like Goldeneye on N64, but is less attractive. This is a shame, because the whole ethos of R6 is sure to appeal to PlayStation owners-Rebellion should note that there are more competent efforts out there vying for gamers' money.

It has it's et niche, but even they must be disappointed. It's close to being what it set out to be but it just isn't there yet. Tom Clancy is happy, but he's getting paid. My suggestion is to keep writing books and squeezing out movies like Patriot Games: that's where his talents lie. Play it if you must, but if you really need to, it's probably better to do it on the PC because the PlayStation version just isn't there.

The popular Tom Clancy-inspired FPS makes its way to the PS. Sadly, it's too little too late.

What originally was intended for the PC has come to the PlayStation - with mixed results.
