Simply super as a one player experience, it's sizzling as a two-player game. As far as party game go on PlayStation, this one ranks right up with the best of them. I'm highly impressed by Trap Gunner, and would recommend it to action fans - especially those looking for something very different - in a second. In fact, I just did.

Trap Gunner may not be for everyone but for anyone who is looking for a fresh type of game to play this might be it. The strategy and action parts of Trap Gunner blend perfectly and an awesome sense of style ties the game together. Recommended.

If only Trap Runner exploded onto the screen in an orgy of fire and gunpowder rather than whimpering on like a soggy Roman Candle. If only the traps arrived in a torrent of sickening bone-crunching choice rather than resembling a joke mousetrap. If only the action whipped along rather than stumbling along at crawling speed through treacle. If only Trap Runner was more fun. As it is though, this is just one more game that fails to live up to the original’s appeal and gameplay.

All in all, Trap Gunner faithfully reproduces the fun found in Spy vs. Spy and adds enough twists so it doesn't come off as a complete rip-off. This one is definitely worth checking out.

If you're looking for a quick paced title that lets you assemble portable packets of armageddon for your friends to trip over, there aren't many games that encourage that kind of fast paced mayhem better than Trap Gunner. While the graphic aren't state of the art, there's still a goodly amount of stuff to blow to kingdom come.
