3D Engine

"Mr Dog," listed in the credits, was the name of the in-house 3D engine used to create the game.

Patch history

The first (and only) soccer game to be produced by the Actua Soccer team after Infogrames purchased Gremlin, UEFA Challenge surprised a lot of players when producer Jon Watson joined one of the most popular soccer-gaming forums in 2001 (now defunct Soccered), in a time where FIFA fans tried their best to be heard by developers. The result was a single patch with requested features such as basic kit importing and physics tweaks before Infogrames stopped supporting the product.
