Walt Disney World Quest Magical Racing Tour

I'll tell ya, Magical Racing Tour really surprised the crap out of me. After playing through Crash Team Racing I really wondered if another kart style game could be anywhere near as enjoyable. What I ended up learning here is that even though you start with the basic premise of cute Kart racing, with a little imagination (and a great license like Disney) there is almost unlimited variety that can be implemented. Of course this requires a good imagination and creativity on the part of the developers and luckily that shines through on this title.

Magical Racing Tour has more than enough style - and it offers a different enough experience - to make the game worthwhile.

Magical Racing Tour laisse finalement une impression très mitigée, sans être mauvais il aurait pu être certainement beaucoup mieux finalisé. Les plus jeunes d’entre nous y trouveront sans aucun doute leur compte et les autres auront raison de lui préférer Crash Team Racing dont il garde quand même bien plus qu’un arrière goût… Un jeu qui devrait convenir au jeune public tout en laissant les autres sur leur faim.

I shouldn't be recommending this. Nobody NEEDS another Kart racing game. But I am recommending it, almost highly. As a Kart racing game, it's nothing extraordinary, but as a Disney collector's item, it works wonders. When I first heard of this game, I thought for sure it would never work, that it wouldn't be as fun as the real thing. Of course, nothing could be that great (I feel like a little boy all of the sudden!), but this game works on just enough levels that it's worth the ride. Bottling the magic of Disneyland is rare in a licensed product, but that essence is here in Disney Magical Racing Tour.

Het is net geen CTR en al helemaal geen Diddy Kong Racing. Disney's MGT is een aardig, vrij eenvoudig spelletje dat vooral bedoeld lijkt voor de minder ervaren gamer.
