Warhawk is so good, that it will most likely turn everyone who plays it into devoted Playstation worshippers. The feeling of flight is so realistic that it makes all previous flight sims seem archaic, the music is perfectly suited and the gameplay is as addicting as any I've ever experienced. Stay out of the cockpit mode and you've got yourself a perfect game. Oh, I almost forgot, skip the FMW or run the risk of meeting the most nauseating woman of all time.

Short game or no, the Warhawk takes a little time to get the hang of flying. As an aircraft, it's 'heavy' so it turns wide and has a different rhythm from, say, the nimble P-51's in Wing Arms for Saturn. Once you understand just how much momentum the craft has, you begin to anticipate it, and it feels right --- not sluggish, not hard to control, just responding the way a big, heavily-armored assault ship should. This is great stuff, I only wish there was more of it.

Warhawk is old as hell but still fun to play. It is a bit short though.

Warhawk is an excellent game. It has much of the complexity of a flight simulator, but it simplifies the controls and ads the playablilty of a shooter. The smooth, addictive action will keep you hooked to this game until you manage to solve it. Unfortunately, once you have accomplished this, you are left only with a deep hunger for more. Savor this game! Don't use the cheat codes if you can help it.

Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM)
Wow! Warhawk is the best flight game I've ever played. I can't describe how cool this game is. Everything scales smoothly and the enemies are intelligent. The missions vary and each one is loaded with unique challenges. Warhawk looks as good as it plays. The controls are precise and you have a wide variety of options at you disposal. The music is simply awesome. Warhawk is worth purchasing. No other flight game has this level of intensity.

Warhawk puts you in the cockpit of a sophisticated Harrier-style jet flying through six long, tough missions. This is one of the best new PlayStation shooters.

The action is fast and furious, with planes flying all around your cockpit like TIE Fighters around the Millenium Falcon. Loads of weapons are available to pick up, including some amazing scatter rockets, swarmers, that deliver a multi-tailed payload still unequaled in PlayStation weaponry! The graphics are top notch, and each level is completely unique. Unfortunately, there are only six of these unique levels. Still, a great game despite its length, or lack thereof.

Gaming Target
Warhawk for PSone is a very different game, but an important part of the success of the PlayStation franchise. It put gamers who were used to mostly 2D airplane games into a futuristic aircraft and rocketed them into the 32-bit stratosphere. Sure, it wasn’t long enough and the dialogue was no better than a B movie. However, missions were fun to navigate, bosses were a blast to break apart and the humorous “game over” screens were funny to read. Maybe, for those who haven’t logged onto eBay to find their own slightly damaged copy, a Warhawk PSone download remastered with analog flight controls would make a great promotional tool for Sony’s upcoming PS3 follow-up.

It's insanely entertaining, but there's a catch, the same catch that's plaguing a lot of Playstation games in this first wave of software, it's too short. Yeah, I know, almost any game can be beaten in a day, but it's always a letdown to zip through one in an evening. Fun while it lasts, though.
