Meeting up with a group of 8 alien teenage orphans, Wex Major turns them from a motley group of disparates into the liberators known as The Wild 9. As leader, Wex operates the legendary 'Rig and Glove' weapon, which the Wild 9 use in their battle to free the billions of inhabitants of the Andromeda Galaxy. Their foe is the all-powerful Karn - a 376-year-old enormous 'face' who has the power of a god but the temperament of a 3-year-old. Karn wants the Rig and Glove to achieve ultimate power, but in his way is the only other being capable of using the weapon - Wex Major.
Welcome to a world where evil black sheep walk upright and wield chainsaws, where a psychotic with 176 separate personalities can be considered a 'good guy', where a heroine can draw her power from a magical Tartan superhero outfit, and where a normal teenage boy can be the saviour of an entire galaxy.
