Summary
Best and most realistic soccer game around
The Good
The gameplay and the feel of the game is just amazing. It's as close to the real thing as you can get in a game. In Pro Evolution Soccer 2, everything that happens in real life soccer games can happen. There are just so many cool details in PES2, and they all "team up" to make a wonderful game.At first glance, the graphics don't look like much (compared to more arcade like games, like the FIFA series), but the animations and the actual movements are so lifelike that they really do do the game justice.
The AI is very good aswell. The opposing teams are able to play soccer like you wouldn't believe. I've played this game for several years and I'm still not able to beat every team every time, there are just too many factors that play into it. But that's the way its supposed to be, if you ask me.
The Bad
The sound effects are merely decent, while the commentary is awful. It's so bad its almost fun at first, but after a few matches it gets really annoying and you'll probably end up turning it off or learn to ignore it.There are also a few minor gameplay flaws, like when you're running towards a sideline or an end line of the pitch. The computer AI then has a tendency to take control over your selected player and the player will just run the ball out of the pitch. But then again, that's a real minor flaw and it's about the only I can think of.
