Throughout the game, the Prince can find ten secret areas which lead to a fountain containing the Water of Life. Drinking from this fountain (done automatically) extends the Prince's life bar. Explicit instructions on how to locate these areas are available online through many FAQs. However they appear in these levels:
- "Had I really seen her?" 7%
- A Booby-Trapped Courtyard 14%
- Climbing the Tower 21%
- Above the Baths 33%
- "I'll meet you at the Baths!" 52%
- An Underground Reservoir 60%
- The Hall of Learning 67%
- A Prisoner Seeking an Escape 79%
- "At last we're here!" 81%
- "Farah, come back!" 90%
