In terms of doing justice to the source material, however, Worldwide Biggies follows through on the production of The Princess Bride Game with considerable aplomb. And what's more, the game leaves us with the impression that this isn't the last we'll see of Westley and Buttercup.

We would have liked more music in the levels themselves, and the addition of some two-player modes or minigames. But the sound, graphics, animation, and story are all charming, and the system requirements fit a wide range of Macs. Kids 8 and up, especially fans of the movie, will play happily ever after

Mixed bag all around. You have a pretty beloved bit of intellectual property, and some official buy-in and involvement from the creative forces that made the original so memorable. The game looks great and has great sound and music is enjoyable (the young girl-rock band that does the opening theme is a bit of a non-sequitur, but it’s another polished and overall well-done element for the game). However, as a game, the title doesn’t really deliver.
