As much fun as it sounds, Project Justice does have a few bad marks. While there are a few extra characters to unlock (and yes, bouncy Tiffany is one of them), you can only watch the hilarious team up techniques over and over again for so long. Replay value is a bit lacking, especially since they took out the cool board game from the import version. While the game sports a Training mode, League Battle Mode, Tournament mode, and an Extra mode (gallery and music), it's not really enough to keep me coming back. There's also not a whole lot of depth to this game; the combo system is very simple and the timing to counters is very easy to learn. While I'm not exactly a fighting guru, even I was able to learn 20 plus hit combos in a matter of minutes. Still, if you're having a recess between a Dreamcast RPG or Phantasy Star Online, Project Justice delivers hilarious fighting action for those that never took high school too seriously.

Whatever its shortcomings may be, Project Justice remains an incredibly entertaining game, bubbling over with personality and humor. Anything this much fun to watch, let alone play, should at least be given the benefit of the doubt. With a retail price of only $20.00, even casual fighting fans owe it to themselves to take a look.

This might be the last fighting game to be released for Dreamcast since a couple of others have yet to recieve release dates. So, if you own a Dreamcast, and are a fan of fighting games, this belongs on your shelf. If you like those quirky Japanese style games, and are mildly interested in fighting games, then you might want to seriously consider getting this game as well. Project Justice is not going to score points in the originality department; it is, however, a solid game with plenty to offer.

Capcom's Rival Schools was an arcade fighting game that became a PlayStation sleeper hit. The unique game had a nice, fun fighting system, and the character designs were unlike anything else on the market. These things came together to make the original game a success, and it's these same things that make the oft-delayed Dreamcast sequel worth picking up.

There is definitely enough positive here to outweigh the negative-but only if you're a hardcore Capcom fan (these fans have had a long time to get used to this particular set of faults, which made their first appearance at the start of the EX series). If you're a casual follower of beat 'em up who's looking for another Soul Calibur to sate your craving, you are, unfortunately, out of luck.

The fighting engine is solid, as long as you don't mind projectile attacks and a lot of "juggling" combos. Personally, I didn't find the game particularly appealing, although I do respect the tight control and polished presentation that Capcom is known for.
