You have just left the peaceful town of CrissCross to defeat the evil Krellane and his powerful Empire. The residents of the town have survived for years by hiding from the empire but rumors have surfaced that the soldiers of the empire are nearing. You have heard that only the hero of the Prophecy could prevail against the Empire, and you embark on your quest to fulfill that prophecy.

Prophecy: The Fall of Trinadon is a role-playing game in which the player controls a single character, navigating him through top-down environments. Combat is action-oriented: the player has to physically control the hero as he uses melee weapons, bows, and magical spells. Beside regular enemies, the hero also has to fight powerful bosses.

Prophecy DOS Helfobia is an unpleasant place. The inhabitants worship Morgan, slayer of 50.000 humans.
Prophecy DOS An Empire axeman guards CrissCross' temple. We use magic to defeat him.
Prophecy DOS Boss fight #2: Helfobia's Lord won't attack if we leave him alone. We, however, decide to invoke a Blades spell.
Prophecy DOS In the maze under Nermon, on our way to Helfobia. These skeletons are weak enemies - at least for now...

In case you're wondering who or what "Baeharlok" in the headline on the back of the box is ("Baeharlok Did Not Stop Them..."): it's the name of the basic attack spell in the game, translated as "Harm" (5 points of damage at a cost of 2 spell points).
