Mimo iż będziemy często do niej wracać, to jednak pewien niesmak (zaledwie 18 misji) pozostaje. Polecam ten tytuł z całego serca, jest on wart nawet kupienia konsoli. Prawdziwy must have!

Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War does little to improve upon the gameplay found in Ace Combat 4, but since that was such a superb game to begin with, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If you liked Ace Combat 4 and 5 you’ll like Ace Combat Zero. The formula does start to feel just a little old and predictable though, so hopefully they shake things up a bit in the next iterations.

Game Chronicles
Heavy on action and ramping the difficulty to new heights, Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War is one of the best flight combat games you can play on the PS2. It’s not quite as good as last year, but that would be a tough act to follow for any developer. Sim purists might not find everything they are looking for but for anyone just looking for an intense combat game that has you ruling the skies and dominating the ground, look no further than Ace Combat Zero. I can only wait to see what they have in store for the next generation.

Though Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan Wars doesn’t change the formula of its predecessors, it definitely adds to it lovingly. Aside from the minor complaint of checkpoint addition, the multiplayer and mission variety, not to mention the enemy AI, make the game a great leap in the right direction. Veterans of the series should have no complaints as Ace Combat really does provide some great new features and an engaging story.

Game Informer Magazine
If you’ve played the previous Ace Combat games, and you rank their quality highly, there’s absolutely no reason why Ace Combat Zero shouldn’t be right up your alley. It’s a game that excels at offering more of exactly what we’ve seen before, and almost completely defying the push to innovate in a new direction. Sure, there are some new features, like rival aces and multiplayer combat. However, when all is said and done, this feels like an expansion to a great game. And you know what? That’s just fine.

Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War continues Namco's tradition of offering players an accessible and fun flight combat game. The story is engaging and well-presented although its themes are a bit overused. The gameplay formula has been fine-tuned through the missions and Ace Styles rather than attempting any radical, and unnecessary, changes. At times, the missions can be a bit repetitive and boring, but more often than not you'll enjoy your experience. To help enhance that experience, Zero has both good graphics and even better music. This game is an example of a series that plays to its own strengths and is steadily evolving without losing itself along the way. It will be interesting to see how Ace Combat handles the next generation of home consoles.

Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War is a game that any player at any skill level can get the hang of in a few minutes, but be warned that the last part of each mission is a killer - literally.

Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War doesn't exactly redefine the franchise or even add anything too significant to its tried-and-true formula...but that doesn't stop the formula from being tried and true. It got a few noticeable errors, especially when it comes to repetitive gampelay, no drastic enhancements, and erratic enemy AI. But it's extraordinarily pretty, the controls are nearly flawless and quite accessible, and the fun factor remains high throughout. All in all, it's well worth your time.

Ace Combat has ruled the console skies since its inception. This entry doesn't soar any higher, but rather continues to bombard you with excitement.

Ace Combat Zero is, without a doubt, the most fun I've ever had with a flight simulator, and it's the best one in the series yet.

The Ace Combat series is highly regarded and Ace Combat: The Belkan War does nothing to tarnish this reputation. The single-player campaign is very enjoyable and suitable for both newcomers and seasoned Ace Combat enthusiasts. It’s rather disappointing that the game doesn’t particularly do many things differently from other recent Ace Combat titles. It’s also a shame that once again there is no online mode and that’s surely going to have to be something that must be rectified in any Ace Combat game that arrives on the PlayStation 3.

Digital Press - Classic Video Games
As if on target with an easy shot, Ace Combat Zero doesn't offer surprises, special features, or anything else new. It's a guaranteed hit because the previous games were so powerful in all the right places. For all the years of plane-blasting fun we've had though, it's forgivable that nothings changed, and fans will be right at home.

Namco's Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War is yet another fine addition to the storied franchise. The varied missions, near photo realistic visuals, real world planes, and live action cut scenes have been mixed to produce a thoroughly enjoyable combat game, and the addition of aces, these skilled NPCs that can take forever to destroy, and a two player mode, only add to the product's rain slick sheen. But if you're tired of this series, I don't think that The Belkan War will get you to pick it back up. Namco hasn't really messed with the formula, and the "improvements" aren't hot enough to make it a must buy if you're not a diehard fan.

Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War really isn't a bad game at all, the reason why it is scoring about 10% lower overall then the previous titles is simply because Namco Bandai haven't attempted anything new. By now I would have expected, at the absolute least 2-player online dogfights, something which we've been craving since the PS2 first went online. Technically the game is as polished as ever before, but I would have liked to see some more variety in the missions - how about some choppers, or spy drone missions. If you love the series this is worth checking out, just don't expect anything radically different.

Vahvan tunnelman kannattelema Ace Combat: The Belkan War on lyhyissä rykäyksissä viihdyttävää. Ässätaistelun merkittävin ongelma on pilotin liiallinen paapominen.

Gamer Within
There’s little that’s different or new in Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War that hasn’t already been done in previous iterations in the series. With that said, the series has long offered solid arcade gaming that can be difficult to fault. It ultimately comes down to whether or not you enjoyed the previous games in the series, as it’s merely more of the same enjoyable and worthwhile fighter piloting that the series has become renowned for. If you’re looking for something new, you’re best off looking elsewhere. If not, Ace Combat continues to be one of the better arcade jet fighter games available on consoles.

What a waste. What a horrible, horrible waste. The game had it all. Slick presentation, a decent, yet completely predictable story, fun gameplay, and even branching to add levels of replayability. And then someone cast that all aside because of their stupid need to have their own version of the final trench run mission, combined with the fact that they have no idea how to create a good boss. The mission to fly against Excalibur was fun, yet challenging. The final mission in the Round Table was also a mission I felt that was extremely challenging, but satisfying to beat. Fighting a battle where I don't have to use any skill, and instead rely on dumb luck and pilot AI stupidity while trying to beat the clock just makes me livid, not joyous.

Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War suffers slightly due to its similarities to previous games in the series, but the package is as slick as ever. A more feature packed multiplayer mode would have given Zero a real reason to exist alongside the previous games, but fans will get just what they've been waiting for, and newcomers will find the intense aerial combat hard to resist.

While Ace Combat Zero is a solid game, it's not enough of an improvement over the last game to make it worth your time, which is a shame since previous versions had enough improvements over their predecessors to make it worth a purchase. It's by no means a terrible game, but it simply isn't any better than its older brethren. It is a fun flight sim, and it has everything you'd expect from the series, but doesn't really offer much in the way of new content. The multiplayer modes do offer a nice change of scenery for the series, but ultimately, it still doesn't add enough innovation to make this game profoundly special. Ace Combat Zero is a perfectly decent game, but it simply offers nothing new that you haven't seen before.

Ace Combat: The Belkan War is a good flight sim/arcade game and most of the imbalances of previous games have been tweaked now. The graphics are improved and there are plenty of varied missions to keep you busy. However, the frankly poor storyline (which feels like a cheap update) and lack of any really noticeable improvements since the last outing makes this game look like it should be marketed by EA than Sony, and it’s hard to recommend at full price.

Belkan Wars is a tricky one to gauge. You have an accomplished, if a little generic, arcade aerial fighter that will please those already in love with the franchise. Equally here's a game that doesn't move the genre forward or in anyway justify the full price tag when you can buy Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War for cheaper - essentially what you get is a new narrative. I can't see Belkan Wars doing a massive amount of business especially as it will struggle to win over doubters. Worst still, it will fail to attract the minority of gamers that have yet to experience the Ace Combat games due to an inability to offer anything refreshing.

To be blunt, AC0 feels like an expansion pack, a sort of stopgap between Playstation 2 and 3 Ace Combats. It’s fun but short, and as a full-price game it is a failure. One feature it does have that 5 didn’t is a splitscreen two-player mode, nice for killing time with a buddy but ultimately not that exciting. Your narrow field of vision, and the opportunity to see exactly what your opponent is doing sort of kills the experience. At this late stage in the PlayStation 2’s life cycle, surely it couldn’t have been that difficult to implement a net play feature? In any case, if you’re a hardcore Ace Combat maniac and absolutely need more dogfighting action in your life, 0 should provide you with a solid couple days of enjoyment. For everyone else, I’d say wait for the inevitable PlayStation 3 sequel.

Fans of Ace Combat Zero may find this is a riveting addition to the franchise. However, players not familiar with the series may want to rent this one and try it out before purchasing. The gameplay in The Belkan War just doesn't live up to the promise of its ambitious and sometimes overly complex storyline, and as a result, the experience falls flat.

Gamestyle
That's not to say that the game is not without its merits; this is an immensely fun game with the dog fighting as enjoyable as ever. The sensation of speed and power is immense and the graphics are as good as anything the PS2 has produced so far. The problem with Ace Combat 6, then, is simply that it does nothing new. It's been polished to a supreme degree without creating anything new, overly interesting or different about it. It's a supremely solid game and one with a lot to offer, but it feels like an add on pack, a yearly update with little extra to offer other than an enjoyable, if somewhat disposable, experience. One for a rent, and you'll probably complete it in this time as well.
