Description

The Olympic Games of Athens that have been hailed as the "best Games ever" have their own official videogame. The game attempts to capture the spirit and feel of the individual sports it simulates. These sports include Athletics, Aquatics, Gymnastics, Shooting, Archery, Weightlifting and Equestrian. Each sport contains various events, 25 in total, taking place in an accurate depiction of the actual venues, such as the Athens Olympic Stadium, Panathinaiko Stadium (where the first Modern Olympics of 1896 took place) and others. There are many game modes ranging from Practice Mode to the demanding Heptathlon and Decathlon Competitive Modes. The player can choose among 64 (from a total of 202 countries) and 800 different athlete models. Up to 4 players can compete in the Games and the game also supports a special Party mode utilizing a dance mat.
