Buzz has done it again - fast, frantic, accessible family fun with a huge range of questions, Buzz!: The Hollywood Quiz promises great fun for many gamers and non-gamers alike this winter - and not just the film buffs either.

This is a great game to play with mates – I’m giving it 8 and a half buzzing chooks!

I feel like this review is wrapping up early, but I really can't tell you too much more. Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz is just as deep and fun as Mega Quiz, and it is a bit more polished in terms of its award show presentation and smoother textures. If you have friends over who like to go toe-to-toe in movie game shows, Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz should be a welcome addition to your repertoire.

Ultimately, however, Buzz: The Hollywood Quiz falls into the SingStar trap: alter some presentation, slap in some new, themed content and you’ve got a new game in a big brand to shove out the door. It’s still a great game and if you are the kind of person who watches E! Television’s Daily Ten rather than 3 News, it’s a perfect purchase. However, those who are looking for a more balanced and more inclusive affair would probably be better off buying The Mega Quiz instead.

But for all its faults, this new Buzz game still gives you a lot of questions to answer and has just enough character to keep you coming back for more. Buzz is perfect for people who plan on doing a lot of entertaining in the near future!

The abundance of questions ought to keep your post dinner party or pre clubbing get-togethers going for a while, but that variety is let down somewhat by Jason ‘Buzz!’ Donavan’s initially appreciated movie quips beginning to grate as you hear them time and time again. These references come thick and fast, and naming the movies is fun in itself, but even that quickly loses appeal. Still, it’s a minor complaint about one of the stronger Buzz! Titles - and there are many. So, if you have friends, you like movies and you’re in the 25-35 age range, this game is pretty much tailored for you and about five million other people. Clever Sony. And as for that rivalry, well sometimes you just have to know when to throw a fight.

And if you were wondering, there are indeed plenty of film titles hidden in this review. I won't say how many, but if anyone can get them all in the comment space below, or over on the forums, then they are the official cinematic superman of Pro-G. If spotting any of them, or even trawling through for every last one appeals to you, grab a fist full of dollars and buy Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz today, or the day after tomorrow, because it's as wholesome and tasty as American pie. If you aren't a fan of the silver screen steer well clear, because the pleasure inherent will be alien to you. Otherwise, the return of the Jedi of quiz games is of Oscar winning quality.

Ovrall, it's a bit like the SingStar series. It has seen many releases on the PS2 console, but yet nothing changes apart from the tracklist. Why people still get it is because it cater to all and is a great party game. Buzz! is in the same category: you don't need a major overhaul of the game, you just need to add a bit of variety in the questions being asked, how they are presented and a few friends willing to go head to head. Once you have this then you're in for some great times.

Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz doesn't mess with the structure or format. Being based on movies anyone can enjoy this version, but we would have loved to see some more, new, rounds.

Yeah it’s good fun – not a classic – but if you’re a movie and a Buzz fan you will enjoy it. It’s seven and a half popcorn chickens from me.

All in all, Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz is a fun trivia game. It doesn't exactly break new ground do anything particularly new or innovative, but it's good, clean fun for the whole family, in the vein of games like Trivial Pursuit. If you've already got the buzzers, then The Hollywood Quiz is a fun addition to your collection. At $39.99 for the buzzers and game, it's also not a bad deal, although significantly more expensive than a Trivial Pursuit box. For those seeking a fun family game for the PS2, you could do significantly worse than The Hollywood Quiz.

Buzz: The Hollywood Quiz is a fun time and appropriate for gamers of all ages, but it is rated Teen because some of the stuff the announcer may say can be somewhat risqué. The game is best played with 4 to 8 players and is accessible to all. While it's no "You Don't Know Jack" (a PC quiz game that was genuinely funny and is due for a comeback), Buzz does enough right to make it entertaining. The auto-save feature will keep track of the questions you've been asked to minimize repeat questions, so you don't have to worry about any unfair advantages. If you're looking for a fun multiplayer experience that will be accessible to pretty much anyone, pick up Buzz: The Hollywood Quiz with the buzzers and get ready to have a good time.

A fun family experience that tests showbiz and movie trivia, supporting it with solid clips and graphics. This is a party game and/or a family game that while it would appear to be a niche title, actually should have broad appeal.

Buzz! Hollywood Quiz does not fundamentally change the wheel (except of course the question wheel), but nor should it be trying to. It is a little disappointing that there is only really one new round. The subject matter of films means that Hollywood Quiz is the type of game that anybody can play, as most people have seen various films, as opposed to Sports Quiz which was only appealing to a niche market. The Buzz! series is still undoubtedly good value and Buzz! Hollywood Quiz! is a game that Buzz! fans will definitely enjoy.

Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz will do just fine for PS2 owners who fancy a bit of movie trivia and can put up with the Australian, but, if you also own a 360, you might be better off waiting till a bit nearer Boxing Day to see if Scene It! is more your style.

Much like its SingStar and EyeToy brothers, Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz is very much a game that is best played in a group or party atmosphere. It’s the perfect type of game that you’ll be pulling out on such odd occasions. Although it does cater for single player gaming, it really was designed to be played with a group of friends, and as such, it is effective in providing a few solid hours of fun, lighthearted gaming with your family or friends. If you’ve already purchased one of the previous Buzz! titles, The Hollywood Quiz is an appropriate choice if you’re looking to expand the array of questions at your disposal the next time you have some mates around.

Raten Sie mal, was es hier Neues gibt. Richtig - nichts. Wie die letzten "Buzz"-Folgen, so fragt auch die aktuelle Fachwissen mit Klatsch gemischt ab. Und dabei gibt's ab und zu sogar ein paar Fotos. Filmausschnitte, die sich nun wirklich aufgedrängt hätten, sind leider Fehlanzeige und lange dauert der Spaß auch nicht: Zwei Spieler haben eine komplette Quizshow nach etwa 20 Minuten durch, zu viert dauert es etwas länger und ist auch ein wenig lustiger. Immerhin sind die Fragen für Experten tatsächlich nicht alle ganz leicht, also ein Anreiz für Filmcracks. Insgesamt ist diese Quiz-Sendung aber nur "befriedigend".
