Dynasty Tactics 2 is a great example of how good a strategy game can be on the PlayStation 2. It's quite unlike any other game on the console (apart from Dynasty Tactics of course) and is a must for strategy fans.
Librarians, history majors, and dedicated war buffs have got to be in love with KOEI. As since the advent of the Nintendo Entertainment System there hasn't been a single videogame developer or publisher to give our past as much attention as it has. From Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Genghis Kahn to Uncharted Waters and Nobunaga's Ambition, KOEI has made a conscious effort to mix fact with fiction for a successful blend of strategy, documentation, and fun.
It's an excellent strategy game that fans of the original will enjoy and that gives new players a chance to experience this highly original, entertaining, and complex style of gameplay.
While I happen to be a big FPS and RPG fan at heart, one series that I’ve always particularly enjoyed is Koei’s Dynasty Warriors since I played the first one on my PS2 system. Soon, I was even more impressed when they managed to take Dynasty Warriors and turn it into a good and enjoyable turn based strategy title called Dynasty Tactics. Well, Koei is celebrating 25 years in business, and has now released Dynasty Tactics 2 for the PS2 system. While it follows very similar in some areas to the original title, it also adds some good improvements that just make it a little more enjoyable.
Even if you?ve already conquered ancient China with Dynasty Tactics, the second time?s the charm For most gamers, the words ?turn-based, grid-system strategy? either cause them to recoil into the deepest region of their ?happy place? or inspire a charge into glorious battle. Dynasty Tactics 2 is easily one of the stars of this strategy genre niche.
The title of Dynasty Tactics 2, which hit the shelves almost exactly one year after the original, brings to mind Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics, and other classic strategy/RPGs -- but KOEI's turn-based, squad-level affair is much more in the former category than the latter.
Dynasty Tactics was one of my favorite games of 2002. Completing the evolutionary steps that Kessen and Kessen II had taken to make themselves into a solid franchise, Dynasty Tactics neatly took everything Koei had learned, and made it into one exceptionally fun and solid game.
Endast de ytterst få som har gett sig fan på att klara precis alla strategispel som finns i världen bör fundera på att köpa det här. Vi andra håller oss till Dynasty Warriors 4 på dynastifronten.
