EverQuest Online Adventures Frontier is a dream come true for console gamers who have wanted to have a online adventure game! I have always loved the Everquest series for the PC, and the transition over to the Playstation was a smooth one. Give this great game a try and you will also become addicted to the world of Norrath. If you are a huge fan of the PC version, you MUST own this version. If you are a huge fan of great adventure games, you MUST own this game. If you want to play a game that never gets old, you MUST own EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers!

This game is a welcomed change to online MMPs. The load times may be a little slow but the game does sport some very nice elements. EQOA Frontiers is a solid adventure for gamers who want the EverQuest experience in a console format. It is richly rendered and provides a solid entertainment experience.

I scored the original EQOA 84 or of 100 on GameSpy's old scoring system. Frontiers now scores four out of five stars (roughly the same score.) If MMORPGing sounds like it might appeal to you, then you'll not be disappointed with Frontiers. It's a solid online RPG experience that works very well. This might all change in a few weeks from now when FFXI hits PS2 gamers (the fact that PC and PS2 gamers can play together is highly desirous), but I think SOE's PS2 EverQuest experience is fairly safe as is. Give it a whirl if you've got the time and money, but otherwise, well ... you're already probably in possession of a few level 50 characters. Happy hunting!

If you’re a fan of EQOA already, Frontiers is priced to appeal to you. If you’re not a fan, this isn’t likely to convert you. It’s a fun game that slowly grows on you, but like all MMO games, it takes a special kind of gamer to enjoy.

Frontiers has done a brilliant job in updating and expanding upon EQOA. Fans of the original will have little to no excuse in putting off purchasing this title to see all the new features. Master Class, level 60, and 150 square miles of new territory are three huge reasons to check this out. The loads of other new features don't hurt either.

Game Chronicles
Everquest Online Adventures seems, at least to me, like an ideal title for people who’ve never partaken in the MMOG scene to use to test the waters. Like most of the other entries in the genre, it is a leveling treadmill, but it is a really well designed one. The technical merits aside, for thirty bucks it may be worth while picking it up and using the free month to see if the player interaction and accumulation of in-game wealth are enough to keep you interested.

Frontiers is a substantive expansion pack that's worthwhile for dedicated fans of EQOA--most of whom have already purchased it. Anyone else who's otherwise interested might as well pick up a copy of the original EQOA from the bargain bin first. Then they can take the 30-day free trial and see if they still want to keep leveling at the end of it.
