Final Fantasy X

After a months long hiatus it has been decided that I will continue with FFX. However, not everything is as I remembered it to be. I was convinced that you could do major damage to robots/machines by "stealing" from them with certain characters. I was convinced, that Rikku could do it, since she's a machina-loving Al Bhed. But it doesn't seem to work that way. She just... well, steals from them.

Have I got confused and actually thinking about a different game entirely? Or does this mechanic works in a different way?

The question: Can you deal great damage to robots in FFX via "stealing" from them? How do you do that?

Ha! Stupid game. Apparantly, there are two types of robots in it. There are those, which you can dismantle and those you can't. Of course, both types are immune to poison, blindness etc.
