One line? ABSO-F**KING-LUTELY SUPERB!

The Good
Controls for GGB are great; left analog for movement (forward, back, strafe left/right) right for viewing. The flight mode is well thought out, limited in such a way that it's not too hard to use it. Weapons are quite varied, ranging from the Sequenced Shotgun (blast the hell out of the enemy with glee) to the Fuel Air Explosion (which I didn't see in use 'cause I got nuked on the Egypt level). The music is a great complement to the action on-screen (thank god they put in a BGM/SE test... Play track 12 and you'll know what I mean ;). The six missions are quite big, and they actually double up to 12 due to the advanced modes. Difficulties range from Blaze Away (9999 ammo on your main weapon usually) to Hell (which I tried once... I'm too trigger happy to play on that difficulty...).

Basically, it's a well-rounded game that represents the PS2 well, and is still a great game to play even though it was released quite early after the PS2 itself.

The Bad
Umm... pass. Oh, wait, the lack of a multiplayer mode. I would sooooooo love to be able to play this online, in a huge firefight... drool

The Bottom Line
If you like anime, you'll love it. If you like mech games, you'll love it.

I got this for £10-£15, and I have only actually just finished it. Literally. And I bought this monster of a game quite a while back now - It's not too much to fork out on, and it's well worth it. Top marks!
