Order of the Phoenix is without a doubt the best entry in the Harry Potter game series to date. Its impressive ‘go anywhere’ style of play is every fan’s dream come true and the amount of freedom available in the game will keep players interested for a long time--just don't expect much replay value. Anyone hoping to play this game without first reading the book may be turned away by the constant bombardment of Harry Potter subtlety, but die-hard fans will be hooked from beginning to end.

If you play this game and focus on the exploration aspect, you’ll probably have a decent time with it. If you play it looking for a solid main quest, you’ll end up a bit disappointed. Regardless, it’s probably worth a rental at least for fans of the series.

Game Chronicles
While there may be some Harry Potter fans who will enjoy The Order of the Phoenix simply because they can't get enough of anything and everything that has something to do with this amazing series, most will probably be just as disappointed as I was. Harry Potter is something that has captured the imaginations of both kids and adults alike. You wouldn't know it from this video game.

It's hard to imagine that the video game version of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will appeal to anyone. Older fans of Harry Potter will enjoy exploring Hogwarts for a while, but they'll soon be bored to tears by the low level of difficulty and the tedious objectives. The younger set will also get a kick out of seeing the sights and will appreciate the forgiving difficulty, as well as the simplicity of the tasks at hand. But they'll quickly grow tired of using their favorite character to perform a seemingly endless parade of chores. If being the most famous wizard in the world were this boring, there wouldn't have been more than one book.
