turn style role-playing adventure.

RPG.

More than 50 missions
What's not to love about Giga City? Fresh air, plenty of sun, beautiful
buildings. Hey, life is good. But The Rebellion wants to change all of
that. Their treacherous plot: seize control of Giga City by fomenting a
riot that pits the fair burg's citizens against each other.
Axl, Zero and a host of new characters join X on his first RPG quest. As
members join X's party, they'll combine for special battle techniques as
the enemies get tougher and tougher.
Although this RPG doesn't lend itself to free-roaming exploration, the
battle system involved leads to entertaining fights. The turns you and
your opponents take are based on attributes such as speed. The faster
you are, the better chance you have of getting an extra shot in before
an enemy does.
This Cross Order System shows the upcoming turns in graph form at the
bottom of the screen. The graph gives you all the info you need to map
out your strategy on which enemy to go after. Each vertical bar
represents a character in battle and that character's health. Extra
defensive stands and item and weapon attributes affect your character's
ranking in the fight order. If an enemy is surprised or vice-versa, the
attacker has a better chance of getting two hits or actions in early.
Some of the combat options of the Cross Order System reward you for
equipping the right combination of weapons. Force Metal offers a limited
number of powered up attacks. When you equip Force Metal, your
attributes could go up or down depending on what the power of the Force
Metal. For example, X's main Force Metal allows him to recoup 10% of his
life once if his life goes down to zero in battle. Others can increase
your character's speed or hit ratio.
When up against a tough opponent or boss, activate your Force Metal to
inflict a few turns of damage. When your time using Force Metal is up,
you'll need some time to recuperate, so be careful how often you use
this power.
In situations where you're outnumbered, use the Action Trigger weapon to
do damage to all enemies at once. Your Action Trigger runs off of a
meter, so you need to let that meter replenish before you can use it
again.
When you attack all opponents at once, they usually get an extra turn
before your next attack. You'll find many more team attacks and combos
within the game. If you're familiar with other team-based RPGs, you
shouldn't have any problem grasping the battle concepts in Mega Man X
Command Mission.
Bottom Line
In Mega Man X Command Mission, the Blue Bomber makes a successful
transition to the RPG realm.
