You can unlock the arcade version of Mortal Kombat II by completing five hidden quests with Smoke. It is not completely the original coin-op version, but rather the port that shipped with Midway Arcade Treasures 2, which has minor differences. This only works on the Xbox version and the NTSC PS2 version. On the PAL PS2 version you instead get 50.000 experience points.

The first Mortal Kombat game that allows Johnny Cage to perform his ball breaker move on female fighters(not counting the Shang Tsung's morph glitch).
