With all this gravy, there?s still plenty of room for improvement. Maximum passing is still in its infancy for the NBA line, and hopefully we?ll see it become as indispensable as it has in the NFL 2K series. As you?ll notice in replays, animation transitions also need work in order to make things flow in a realistic fashion. It would be great get to get some sort of training camp mode and perhaps an assistant to help navigate the insane franchise mode, too.

An excellent game, one of the best basketball games I've played in a while. NBA Live 2003 sure has a tall order to fill.

At the end of the day, most of NBA 2K3 is filled with ups. Despite its random flaws, the game's gorgeous graphics, solid gameplay and top-notch Franchise mode make it an easy All-Star.

Basketball doesn’t get any better than this and with plenty of game modes, including online play, Sega Sports NBA 2K3 is sure to be a favorite among sports gamers everywhere. Be sure to pick this one up, you won’t regret it.

NBA 2K3 is the game to get if you want as realistic an NBA experience as possible. This is by far one of the best sports simulations out there. However, if you are looking for an experience closer to old-school b-ball games like NBA Jams, then you don't want to come here. There are other solid basketball games that offer a more arcade experience. There's nothing wrong with any of those games, but none of them manage the intelligent AI, the amazingly realistic graphics, or as real a hoops experience as NBA 2K3.

NBA 2K3 is one of those games that's great in its own sense, but the need for a purchase is really a harder question to answer. Those who own NBA 2K2 should be satisfied sufficiently with that top-notch basketball sim for now. NBA 2K3 is an excellent basketball title, but the initiative to upgrade to it just isn't that high, since the game holds minimal improvements overall. But by all means, if you're not a proud owner of NBA 2K2, then 2K3 is a great buy.

If you like realistic basketball titles with sharp graphics and a plethora of options then pick up NBA 2K3. Just don’t forget that you can turn off the commentary. This game rocks the virtual arena and no basketball fan should be without it.

NBA 2K3 comes the closest of any current game to mimicking the flow of NBA basketball--you'll get a few fast breaks here and there, but most of the emphasis is placed on the half-court set and setting up plays to get an open shot. Even the game's flaws seem like shortcuts that the development team took to make sure your opponents make you pay for playing sloppy basketball. Simply put, NBA 2K3's great gameplay, in-depth franchise mode, and functional (albeit shoddy) online play make it a must-have for fans of the sport.

Ein gutes Spiel mit viel Spannung, besonders im Multiplayermodus. Mein erster Eindruck vom Gameplay war nicht sehr gut, aber das lag nur daran, dass die Spielgeschwindigkeit auf "Normal" noch zu langsam ist. Nach der Umstellung auf "Fast" gefiel es mir gleich viel besser. Und auch mit der Grafik war ich ziemlich zufrieden. Die coolen Dunks und Dribblings versetzen einen immer wieder in eine Spiellaune. Wären da nicht die Bugs, wie zum Beispiel, dass die Spieler abwechselnd Probleme beim Aufheben des Balles haben (und das kann bis zu 20 Sekunden dauern), dann wäre es ein noch viel besseres Spiel. Doch Gott sei dank kommen diese nicht allzu oft vor. NBA 2K3 ist es also durchaus wert gekauft zu werden.
