This game bears only too many similarities with the renowned animé classic, "Ninja Scroll", not to be noticed by someone who watched the movie. In movie, main character is called Jubei and he's a ninja fighting against the demons for the greater good. In game, main character is also called Jubei and he's a warrior fighting against the demons for the greater good. In movie, he ends up with a reluctant female ninja companion that eventually falls in love with him but due to constraints cannot be with him. In game, he ends up with a reluctant female warrior companion that eventually falls in love with him but due to different constraints cannot be with him. In movie, there is a foe that thinks of himself as the greatest swordsman and even saves Jubei to have a fair fight with him. In game, there is a demon who constantly refers to himself as the greatest swordsman of all demons, and on the contrary to all your foes, he's the only one that always fights fair, plus they both say pretty exact sentence after being defeated, like in far disbelief. Furthermore, in movie the main nemesis was human but is now the boss of those demons Jubei fights, and in game, main nemesis was also once human but is now the king of demons. And these are just clearly visible resemblances.
