In the heat of battle it's hard to tell the difference between an ally and a foe, but luckily, you can't strike your allies

Taking down the beast with special sword attack that drains your mana bar

While in Oni form, you're indestructible... but alas, that doesn't last too long

Samanosuke Akechi, the original hero from Onimusha is back in this game to finish what he started

Time your attacks between enemy swings while you're in the guard mode

As in previous games, you can use your gauntlet to extract souls from genma and replenish your health, mana, and power orbs
