Resident Evil shambles back onto PS2 with seemingly no end to the zombie madness in sight.

Set in the aftermath of the failed experimentations of the Umbrella corporation and its
dramatic effect on the populace of Raccoon City, Outbreak File #2, like its predecessor,
follows eight unfortunate residents who face the nightmare of their fellows citizens turned
crazed flesh eaters. With the clock ticking before the Government "cleanses" the area, this
band of survivors are in a desperate race to avoid infection and their own personal
Armageddon when the bombs drop.

Unlike the first Outbreak, File #2 takes the action online, where four players can experience
the horror of Capcom's signature storylines, disturbing visuals and gut-twisting audio.

Outbreak File #2 features eight ordinary citizens, each with different strengths and a
perspective on the story. Teamwork between this band, both in single-player and
four-player online games, is vital to progression though the new scenarios and multiple
storyline routes.

Online play is not the only new addition. A whole onslaught of new zombies are unleashed
with the introduction of new deadly foes, random enemy placement, a points system to
unlock extra content, and a choice of either classic Resident Evil d-pad or full analog
control.

These new trappings would amount to little more than a quick bite on the arm and rapid
infection if it were not for the storyline, which as ever does not disappoint. Capcom has
mastered the survival horror genre and continues to set new benchmarks, seen in the
rollercoaster hell-ride that is Resident Evil Outbreak File #2.
