Description
You are a high-school student in modern-day Tokyo. You have a strange vision. A mysterious woman tells you about the end and the rebirth of the world. She says she wants to meet you again in the new world. The vision disappears - you are in Tokyo, going to a hospital to meet your teacher Yuuko Takao. Upon arriving there, you discover that something strange is happening in the basement. You see a pentagram and a man who tries to summon... a demon?! At the last moment, your teacher saves you and explains to you your mission. You must cease to be a human in order to save this world...
"Shin Megami Tensei II: Nocturne" continues the demon-summoning tradition of the series. You can summon and recruit demons who will fight for you. Their statistics can also be upgraded in battles and by equipping magatamas, bug-like creatures who grant them demonic powers. Exploration and battles are now played from 3rd person perspective. During turn-based battles, you can gain extra turns by inflicting critical damage on the enemy, or pass turns to your party members.
