All of this amounts to a game that could be great, but is brought down to average by annoying flaws that should have been fixed. Someone needs to remind the developer about that whole "great power, great responsibility" thing. But it is Spider-Man, most of the time it's a lot of fun, and it will make your teenager happy.

Spiderman llega también a PlayStation 2 en una conversión que, sin grandes alardes, consigue satisfacer. Su evolución positiva con las horas de juego y el excelente uso del simbionte juegan a su favor.

I wasn't expecting to be disappointed by either Spider-Man 3 the movie or the game, so I must say that finding out that both turned out poorly was quite a shock to this avid Spider-Man fan. At the end of it all, Spider-Man 3's biggest problem is that it has a camera and framerate that makes the game nearly unplayable. On top of that, a recycled formula would've prevented this game being anything but average. And with a clumsy graphics engine, poor controls and uninspired audio, Spider-Man 3 is definitely a swing and a miss.

Spider-Man 3 on the Wii and PS2 is ultimately a total washout. The badly cut-together storyline, nasty graphics, and dull-as-a-doornail gameplay all come together to create an experience that feels entirely haphazard. When you can't even make the sensation of webswinging freely through a major metropolis thrilling, or turn Spider-Man's array of nimble combat moves into something halfway entertaining, you know you've got a stinker on your hands. If you absolutely, positively must have a Spider-Man game to go along with your enjoyment of the film, look toward other versions of the game. The Wii and PS2 versions just don't cut it.

"Spider-Man 3" para PlayStation 2 não evoluiu nada em relação aos antecessores. Pior, parece ter retrocedido em vários aspectos. Trata-se de um produto aborrecido, muito provavelmente feito às pressas, como a maioria dos títulos feitos a partir do cinema. É mais um jogo que confirma a velha máxima: game baseado em filmes não costuma ser bom.

Spider-Man 3 on the PlayStation 2 is everything gamers have come to dread about movie-tie in games. The game takes liberties with the plot and packs shoddy controls, terrible graphics and lame voiceovers. After Spider-Man 2 showed the possibilities of what could be done on the PS2 with the Spider-Man franchise, Activision phoned this one in and put the big ideas behind the next-gen versions.
