Driven to jealous madness by the opening of the Krusty Krab 2, Plankton pulls from his filing cabinet of evil schemes the infamous, dreaded and never before used Plan Z. Plankton then steals King Neptune's crown and sells it to Shell City (a place from which no one has ever returned) and frames Mr Krabs for the theft. When King Neptune shows up to pass final judgement, SpongeBob pleads for his life and is given six days to return the crown or Mr Krabs will die! Patrick volunteers to help and the two head out on their greatest and most challenging adventure ever!

SpongeBob's big-screen adventure comes to PlayStation 2 - can you find King Neptune's precious crown?

There's trouble afoot in the undersea town of Bikini Bottom; someone has stolen King Neptune's treasure crown and all evidence points to Mr. Krabs, owner of The Krusty Krab fast food restaurant.

Despite being passed over for promotion by his crustacean employer, the ever-faithful SpongeBob SquarePants and his faithful (if slightly dim) pal Patrick Star vow to venture to dangerous Shell City to retrieve the crown and save Mr. Krabs.

Now, the fate of SpongeBob and Patrick is in your hands, thanks to THQ's exciting and hilarious PlayStation 2 adventure based on the hit film.

You'll control both SpongeBob and Patrick throughout the adventure, with each hero having unique abilities that will prove invaluable for progressing through the game's six huge levels.

Along the way, you'll interact with the other residents of Bikini Bottom, including new characters from the movie, all of who are voiced by the same talent who feature in the cartoon series and film.

The heroic duo will need to complete 'macho challenges' in order to earn valuable 'manliness points' that can be used to earn special moves such as the Cartwheel Attack, Electric Guided Sonic Wave Guitar, and Macho Bowl. SpongeBob will also get behind the wheel of the Patty Wagon (part burger, part car) for a totally original driving experience.
