Star Wars Jedi Starfighter is a definitive must have game! While it plays similarly to the original, its formula still feels fresh and the game, along with Rogue Leader, exemplifies sci-fi air combat excellence. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous, and look even better than they did in Starfighter. The textures are wonderfully done and the special effects are beautiful. Visually, this one's a pleaser - despite its very minor framerate and aliasing issue. Aurally, everything sounds nearly perfect and those who have the audio equipment will surely find themselves loving Jedi Starfighter's sound. Then we have the replay value and the untouched controls. All in all, Jedi Starfighter is a package no Star Wars fan, no envious Rogue Leader PS2 owner, and no space shooter fan must pass on.

Jedi Starfighter is an excellent sequel to the original Starfighter, it does a superb job of improving on its predecessor. Many of the imperfections from the original game have been cleaned up and there's more than enough new material to warrant a purchase, especially if you enjoyed the first game. So give Jedi Starfighter a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Star Wars Jedi Starfighter didn't impress me as much as the first one, but perhaps that's because the PlayStation 2 is one and half years into its lifespan, and with last year's incredible outburst of outstanding titles, it's hard to impress anyone these days. I definitely feel that the Force powers add another layer to the game's depth, but with the lack of level variety, no new innovations, and the same game design repeated almost to a T, Jedi feels far too familiar.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force…As though millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened." This timeless quote spoke volumes in the film, but also lends itself nicely as a tagline to the assortment of Episode I games. With Racer being the lone exception as a praiseworthy release, most gamers feel that the gaggle of Episode I software should be tossed into a trash compactor. With the arrival of Episode II, LucasArts has a chance to redeem itself, but if Jedi Starfighter is any indication, I fear the same mistakes are already in motion.

Game Chronicles
Star Wars Jedi Starfighter takes an existing game and adds a bit of Jedi magic to create a substantial new gaming experience. The use of Force powers may seem like a gimmick at first, but you will soon learn that they are an integral part of mastering and completing this stellar game.

Nevertheless, Jedi Starfighter is yet another feather in the ever-growing cap of LucasArts' recent successes. It's always a pleasure to further explore the galaxy far, far away and this time we get cool new ships and some Force powers to play with. A Jedi's work is never done.

Everything about Jedi Starfighter is polished and entertaining. Great visuals, intense action and a solid story all add up to a satisfying and cinematic gaming experience. This is easily the best Star Wars-themed game on the market next to Rogue Leader, and packs a Force-filled punch for single and multiplayer gamers.

Jedi Starfighter is still great at what it does, but I feel there are graphical areas that weren't improved from the first PS2 Starfighter - and this far along in the system's life. I expect more. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but this game only stands on its own two feet - and that's all.

Aside from the shoddy graphics and the occasional twitch, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter will manage to draw you right in with its engaging storyline, solid controls and plenty of extras (you got to love a game that offers a gag reel). Pick this one up if you’re a Star Wars junkie or a die-hard flight simulator fan.

Overall, Jedi Starfighter is a good game but it depends alot on personal taste. If you're really into it, it can keep you busy for quite a while, but if you're on the other hand more interested in varied gameplay, you'll probably put this game away after about a week if not earlier.

Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter is a solid game that fans of the first entry in the series should check out without giving it a second thought. While it's not the prettiest game out there, or the best-looking Star Wars game for that matter, it does offer strong control and entertaining gameplay, as well as the sound and music we've come to expect from a Star Wars game. These merits combined with the multitude of ships and missions that can be unlocked through extensive play further add to the value of the game.
