Stunt GP

With all the great games out this holiday season it is likely you will pass over this gem. However for anyone who is interested in taking my advice, at least rent it you will not regret it.

When it comes down to it though, Stunt GP isn't a terrible game, it's just that it could have been so much more. There are times when you're playing it when you'll be in the heat of a race, knocking against the other racers, and the constant jumps just add to the enthusiasm. Those times are few and far between though, and instead of that fast and furious racing that's so enjoyable you'll be met with constantly going around an uninspired level with no other cars. Considering this makes up a good amount of what you'll be doing in Stunt GP it boils down to a boring experience. Do yourself a favor, pick up San Francisco Rush or Gran Turismo 3, and wait till Team 17 gets it act together before you buy one of their products.

It all comes down to the entertainment value. Sadly, there isn't much to value about Stunt GP. You could play them until you're blue in the face, but I might as well save you the trouble and tell you that it isn't going to get any better. There are lot of great stunt racing games out right now (such as Kinetica), so there is no excuse to get this game. Do not bother renting it either. I've played more racing games this year than I care to remember, and none of them are as bad as this.

Halfhearted racing is what you're left with, though, and even if you're still hankering for something along those lines--despite the existence of RC de GO!, Gadget Racers, and R/C Revenge 2--you'll still likely be disappointed by Stunt GP. It's recommended that you pass this one up and wait for a more solid entry in the genre. One is bound to surface soon enough.

However, the gameplay is just so generic that even the track designs couldn’t save this title. Perhaps if the developer had lost the annoying camera and concentrated on some solid racing this game could have been fun.
