"TimeSplitters: Future Perfect" pode desapontar no que aparentemente é sua opção mais importante (a campanha para um jogador), mas a agilidade e variedade do multiplayer fazem dele uma excelente opção, especialmente para quem gosta do sistema de "Goldeneye". Sua simplicidade faz dele o jogo perfeito para quem busca diversão rápida e sem compromisso com os amigos.

It’s good to know that there are still a few things you can count on in the gaming world. There will always be more Vietnam-based games. Superman games will always suck. And, any Time Splitters title is sure to be a solid FPS. But, to be perfectly honest, that’s not necessarily true of Time Splitters: Future Perfect- it goes far, far beyond solid, coming very close to perfection. Think of every thing a good FPS should have, double it, and add a great sense of humor, and you might have an idea of how good this game is. I had the pleasure of playing this game, and soon found it very hard to do anything else.

As a complete product, Timesplitters: Future Perfect is the best FPS to be found on the PlayStation 2. Its massive amount of features, including maps, weapons and characters for every possible mood are sure to please any FPS junkie. That's not to say the game is perfect...there are some issues with brightness in some of the levels, and the single player campaign isn't especially deep, but considering the length and breadth of the multiplayer component, we're willing to forgive and forget. If you like console FPS games, there are few better than Timesplitters: Future Perfect.

To pigeonhole TimeSplitters: Future Perfect as nothing more than a Halo knockoff with some juvenile humor is to the do game, and yourself, a disservice. T:FP is a lot more than that, with multiplayer options aplenty, user-generated downloadable content (maps) and a very solid online game. The single-player campaign may be short, but the Arcade and Challenge modes will keep you playing for hours as you try to unlock more of the hilariously cool characters from the game. This is a game well worth the price of admission.

The bottomline is Time Splitters: Future Perfect is a game you simply should have in your gaming library if you're seriously into FPS games period. No question this is a game that can stand toe-to-toe with all the big time first-person shooters out there. Spectacular graphics, superlative gameplay, solid audio, great voice-overs, and a compelling story plot rocket this new hit into gaming greatness. A full 4 + Gin gems goes out to a highly impressive game that will undoubtedly turn quite a few heads as well as the "hands of time"

As any sci-fi fan knows, when you start messing around with time, bad things happen. Unfortunately, those with plans for universal domination don't care about this, as the evil alien Timesplitters are back -- and using the power of time travel to try and eliminate humans from existence. Since you happen to be the only super solider within range of a working time machine when the main attack occurs, you are volunteered to venture forth through the ages and attempt to save humanity by preventing the war with the Timesplitters before it even starts.

It fell to me the task that I review The latest game from Electronic Arts And rate the entertainment it imparts. In Future Perfect for the PS2 The Timesplitters return in sequel new. It's predecessors never topped the charts, But struck a chord in me and won the hearts Of shooter fans who never better knew. (For there has been a dearth of FPS, No Haloes, no Lives-Halved on Sony's shores. Just why this is is anybody's guess, For both those games sold out at local stores.) And now that I've a handle on this thing, Let's check out EA's entrant to the ring.

This time, Free Radical has also added a flurry of game modes, unlockable characters, and challenges into the mix, but the overall effect is something that feels less than inspired. The single-player campaign is simplistic, short, easier than normal, and the story shows marked signs of idea fatigue. The hefty multiplayer modes and the game's undeniably charming personality make up for these shortcomings, but one wonders if the series hasn't reached a creative stalemate, and if that old GoldenEye lineage of the Free Radical team is less of a blessing and more of a curse.

Simple and intuitive controls make Future Perfect an excellent pickup and party game. Its story mode may be rather short (somewhere in the range of seven to eight hours), but its lighthearted tale, amiable character, option for co-op, and downright amazing multiplayer make for a great deal of fun.

TimeSplitters: Future Perfect is a fun, accessible game that you'll certainly get your money's worth from. There are a ton of things to do, and completing the game 100% will take weeks, if not months. The online play is solid, but not spectacular, and the inclusion of bots allows people without broadband of friends to enjoy multi-player, which is a nice touch. The game's main flaw is that it's all over the place, and feels like it simply tries to do too much. If more time had been spent lengthening the game by providing more save points, adding more levels, and not tiresome wormholes where you replay the same sequence multiple times, it'd score a bit higher. But the bottom line is, if you're craving a good FPS, Future Perfect might be the perfect game for you, so give it a look.

The TimeSplitters series has, up to this point, been a bit of a missed opportunity. The games are first-person shooters that place an extreme emphasis on sheer variety and fast action. But until now, the series has been limited to four players, unless you've been lucky enough to live on a TimeSplitters 2-loving LAN. But with the third iteration, TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, the series is finally making good on the great ideas that developer Free Radical had back in 2000. While it might not pull you away from some of the more engrossing action games out on the market, TimeSplitters' charm and "something for everybody" mentality means that you're almost certain to find something to like in Future Perfect.

As the old saying goes, "third times a charm," and in the case of TimeSplitters Future Perfect, that old saying is spot on. With varied weapons, a quirky sense of humor, and a main character that could double as Vin Diesel, the latest incarnation of the game could be destined for greatness.

A notable arcade mode game has you race a cat round a track -- not a car-sized cat, but a house cat with wheels for paws. Rather than hearing an engine revving, you hear your prey purring at different pitches. Instead of a horn, the cat meows. It's definitely a bizarre mode, but it's strangely captivating. Free Radical has made certain, just as things start to get difficult, to inject the game with humor. At points the game is laugh-out-loud funny.

Moi j'y retourne.

TimeSplitters: Future Perfect provides classic first-person gameplay with some entertaining twists. The Arcade and Challenge modes extend the life of the game somewhat, especially if you are new to first-person shooters. Vets, however, might find it hard to overlook the lacking A.I., inability to jump and brief Story. The future looks good, but far from perfect.

G4 TV: X-Play
It's not easy being a stylish, slightly goofy shooter in a Halo world. But that hasn't stopped Free Radical, the developer of the TimeSplitters franchise, from further refining and tweaking the formula that's kept players coming back for multiple installments. The publishing reigns have passed from Eidos to EA, but Future Perfect is packed with the same trigger-happy, silly fun as its predecessors. But without a mature, cinematic storyline, can it possibly be worth a look? Fortunately, answering unnecessary questions is our forte.
