Tokimeki Memorial: Girl's Side is just what its title implies: a dating simulation game similar in style to the main
Tokimeki Memorial series, but with a very important difference: the main character is female, and the romantic interests are of the opposite sex.
The protagonist is a new student at the private Habataki High School. Very soon she discovers that there are many attractive boys studying at the school. The goal thus becomes to find a good, caring boyfriend - and the choice is entirely up to the player.
Like the other
Tokimeki Memorial games, the gameplay revolves mostly around setting up schedules, and raising the heroine's parameters, which includes general characteristics such as health or beauty, as well as more detailed ones, such as proficiency in literature, arts, etc. The heroine can also take part-time jobs, go shopping, participate in school activities, cultivate hobbies, and so on - all of which might have an influence on the potential male love interest.
