It's unfortunate that the rest of the game lacks said polish. There is a good deal of potential here, but Top Gear Dare Devil's deeply flawed physics engine, lack of gameplay variations, and frame rate issues keep it in the shadow of Crazy Taxi and make it a game that you should avoid.

In this game, you race slow, crappy cars through tiny city environments where everyone drives like a grandma. It's like…driving with me.

Overall, Dare Devil is not that good, and I wouldn't recommend it, unless you're got a prisoner who you want to mentally scar for the rest of his life.

This game did have some potential. It's quirky design and somewhat interesting premise could've made this one a contender, but the games control ruins EVERYTHING. Whenever your making a game, shouldn't the handling be the most important aspect? Whatever happened to the play testers? It would be nice if these guys even had a word in the releasing of a game nowadays. Alas, we are now stuck with one of the most genric games on the PS2.

Come to think of it, this game bears a strong resemblance to rush hour: 1) You’re in a crappy car, 2) You’re going really slow, and 3) You’re not having fun. The graphics are horrible, and the control is absolutely ridiculous. You spend most of your time watching the map in the corner to see where the next coin is, so it soon feels like you're playing a really bad version of Pac-Man. In my opinion, the worst PlayStation 2 game so far.
