The Video Game Critic
As you'd expect from an "extreme" style game, Whiteout features the obligatory "hip" edgy guitar music, but thankfully the volume is kept very low. Overall, this game was definitely worth the money and will get a lot of use over the cold winter months.

If you dig on snow sports but prefer high-octane speed and the roar of an 800cc engine to snowboarding's cocky attitude and waxed wood, then Whiteout is for you.

IGN
Whiteout is a game that seems to have had some potential, but it just has too many bland spices and herbs in the recipe to taste like anything worth serving. The controls are nicely responsive, but they're too tight and not subtle enough to make the racing aspect any fun. The trick system has been done before, and while it normally works fine, it's just too slow here to really be any fun.

"Bland and forgettable" unfortunately describes Whiteout as a whole. It can be fun for a brief diversion, but it's just one of those games you forget a day after playing it.

GameSpot
Since Vicarious Visions has quality titles like the console ports of Jedi Knight II and the Game Boy Advance ports of the Tony Hawk games under its belt, it's sort of sad to see the developer's name attached to this poor excuse for a snowmobile game. Between Whiteout and Arctic Thunder, the options on modern consoles for fans of this little niche of racing are pretty grim indeed, and Whiteout's technical and creative deficiencies keep it from being recommendable to anyone.

Game Revolution
Whiteout is a classic example of an underachieving video game. It is not unique or special in any way, shamelessly biting the style of other, more polished titles. Erasing this game from your memory is probably a good idea.

Själlöst, tråkigt, kasst. Går du och köper det här spelet får du en privat mulning av mig. Jag skojar inte.
