DescriptionOriginally titled Clock Tower II, this game is a sequel to Clock Tower. You must stop a disfigured mass murderer named Scissorman who has been terrorising the citizens of Norway in this full 3D point and click adventure, but watch out: Scissorman will be after you!
The game is spread across three scenarios (including a prologue at the start). Through the course of the game, people are being killed one by one by the notorious Scissorman. Once Scissorman shows up, you will have to find a hiding place or something to knock the Scissorman out with. Between levels, there is also an intermission in which the player can take a look around the town before going onto the next level.

PlotEver think that the story in Clock Tower seems like a sequel? Well, Clock Tower as we know it is known as Clock Tower 2 in Japan. The original Clock Tower: The First Fear was released in Japan only on the SNES and featured Jennifer, the traumatized girl from this game, in a creepy mansion with other teenagers trying to escape the clutches of the evil Scissorman. It was later ported to other platforms, but only in Japan.
ScissormanWhile there isn't any official statement from the developers of the game, the Scissorman murderer of the Clock Tower series seems very influenced by the Scissorman character from "Struwwelpeter", a collection of rather morbid cautionary tales for children written by Heinrich Hoffman, a Victorian-era asylum doctor from Frankfurt who wrote and illustrated this collection of stories to educate his three year old son. The title has been often linked to cases of child trauma. The Scissorman is in the book the person who punishes naughty little kids that continue to suck their thumbs... with a pair of giant scissors.
