I'm not sure, but how can this game be called a sequel from the previous Far Cry? For all I know, Far Cry "2" doesn't feature mutant creatures, doesn't feature any sci-fi elements at all, doesn't feature Jack Carver as main character and the main character itself doesn't have any "feral" powers (like Far Cry Instincts). This game doesn't share the same settings, or the same enemies,or the same plot, or the same engine or even the same developers from the first Far Cry! I don't really understand...
As far as I can see, the word "sequel" is nowhere in the description.
It's a first person shooter with the ability to ride cars and boats, fly deltaplanes. And all that is happening in a lush natural scenery. Just like Far Cry. But, yes, it feels like a game received its title just for the sake of better sales. ![]() Doctor Martyne Wrote:

So... they could call it GTA Africa or put some radioactive zones there and call it S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Blood Diamond. I totally agree... it looks like a marketing decision.

Actually, that sounds kinda cool. But they better not play "the Invisible War gambit" and turn it into a Halo clone, or they will be hearing from me >:( ![]() Carlos Aquino Wrote:

Well most Final Fantasy games have nothing to do with each other, heh. :p Ask Ubisoft.
Gotcha! Final Fantasy series is really weird: 13 episodes and no sequels!

Actually, there's one sequel out of the lot of them. It's pronounced (not spelled), "Final Fantasy ten two." Dumbest name ever, in my opinion. ![]() NatsFan Wrote: Carlos Aquino Wrote:

And FF4: The After, the cellphone game Squeenix left in Japan. Bastards. Since when does a sequel have to have anything to do with its predecessor? The developer/publisher decides which game is a sequel, prequel, side-story, or whatever, regardless of continuity or of fanboy-sensibilities.
