Ghost of Sparta may not be unique, it may even be a one trick pony with its main focus being on hack and slash, however this is one trick you will want to see time and time again. In this form, Kratos will never get boring.
Unbelievably, the developers at Ready at Dawn managed to top what they did with Chains of Olympus, delivering a longer, deeper, and more graphically beautiful game than even they thought was originally possible. Ghost of Sparta is, without a doubt, one of the best games available for the PSP. Just when I thought I had Kratos figured out, I’ve been given insight into another piece of his past that makes his anger much more understandable. The path less traveled as far as characters and locations makes Ghost of Sparta a very significant chapter in Kratos’ story. There’s nothing hugely different about the gameplay, but there really didn’t need to be. Combat works perfectly, and while I could have stood a bit more challenge in the puzzle department, that’s basically the same as saying I could have used a bit more chocolate sauce on my totally awesome delicious dessert.
God of War: Ghost of Sparta is the best fun I've had on the PSP since Batman LEGO thanks to the great use of the PSP hardware. It's easily one of the nicest looking games on the PSP and even though the control system does falter at times, it's easy to move on because of how good everything merges together. Kratos is definitely back as are all the wondrous mythological creatures and settings of ancient Greece. Most gamers will complete this title is just over 10 hours but it does offer some replay value for areas or unlockables you have missed the first time. This is PSP gaming at its best!

Nakon kompletiranja igre možete otključati Challenge of the Gods mod, Combat Arena gdje sami namještate protivnike protiv kojih se želite boriti, a tu je i Temple of Zeus u kojemu otključavate galerije, kostime i video materijale.
Some players might complain about a lack of innovation; to be fair, this is very much an iterative sequel that doesn't drastically change the God of War formula in any way. Fun as they may be, Thera's Bane and the new charge attack that lets you ground-pound or throw an enemy don't really change things that much. But everything is put together so well that, unless you've become truly tired of the franchise, Ghost of Sparta is well worth playing. This portable title, while it may not be the best or most original entry in the series, is more than worthy of the God of War name.
God of War: Ghost of Sparta, is the PSP at it’s finest. Without losing too much from the console version in presentation you’re getting essentially a comparable experience. I’d even got as far as to say the basic gameplay is better on the PSP version due to Ready at Dawn’s attention to detail with the platforming. When it comes to action games on the PSP, Ghost of Sparta has few peers.
God of War: Ghost of Sparta offers players everything good about God of War and brings it to the PSP. It outdoes itself in the graphics department and puts tons of enjoyable violence into the players hands.
All that said: If you buy one PSP title this year, Ghost of Sparta is a safe bet for the best game you're going to get. It suffers primarily from the inevitable (and perhaps unfair) comparison to its console cousins, but that's really the only place it suffers. Ghost of Sparta does just about everything right and ekes out just about all any game could from the PSP. If you're new to the series, and love your PSP, this is a fine place to start. If you're a die-hard, you'll want to check it out just for the story elements. And if you're a casual action fan, you could do a hell of a lot worse.
The biggest problem with Ghost of Sparta is that it tries so hard to mirror previous entries in the series that it doesn't have its own identity. This hinders the gameplay occasionally because a feeling of deja vu permeates all of your actions, and the PSP just can't match its console peers. But when Sparta's biggest problem is that it's too close to the excellent games that came before it, that's not a huge setback. This is not only an amazing-looking game, but it's incredibly fun as well. Slicing mischievous minions in a variety of stunning locales is an exhilarating experience, and because the adventure stretches on for more than 10 hours, you can lose yourself in this fantastical land for quite a while. Ghost of Sparta is a gorgeous and satisfying adventure that will keep you glued to the screen until the very end.

God of War is over zijn hoogtepunt heen en het wordt tijd dat Sony zich met iets anders gaat bezighouden. We zouden het spijtig vinden om zo'n sterk personage als Kratos stelselmatig te zien afzwakken.
