Description
Puddle is a short, physics-based puzzle game where the player controls a puddle of fluid. It is developed by a team of French students at the
ENJMIN institute. Inspired by
World of Goo and the
LocoRoco series, the player needs to guide the puddle to a tube at the end of the level. There is no direct control of the puddle. The player is able to tilt the screen partially, left and right, to control the direction of the fluid. It does not always stay a single mass. Collisions or hazards can cause it to break up into smaller sections or drops, and parts of the puddle can vaporize. The camera always keeps track of the largest amount of mass and portions that are left behind disappear out of view.
To complete a level a sufficient amount of fluid needs to enter the final test tube. The different levels offer variations such as split up puddles, inverted controls, jumps and hazards such as fire, electricity or gaps where a part of the fluid can disappear. In difficult sections arrows point towards the right direction. Failed levels can be replayed an unlimited amount of times.
