The game's designer, James Woodhouse, completely re-implemented Qwak to run on the Game Boy Advance... a conversion that was finally published at the end of 2006, perhaps the first game to successfully bridge the technological gap of a decade and a half between the GBA and the BBC microcomputer for which the game was originally written, back in 1989. This was followed by a Windows release in October 2008.
