Description

Radioapan: Banankalas! is a game featuring the Sveriges Radio (the Sweden state owned radio station network) children's program monkey and his friends. The player has to help Radioapan and his friends set up a birthday party by helping out in the various activities.

The player can freely pick between the various activities from a wide meadow where the party will take place. The activities are:
  • Assembling a cake: The gets to pick between several cake layers to place on top of each other, add sprinkles and various colored whipped creams and various finally toppings (some unusual ones like olives, meatballs and lego are included as well).

  • Serving cake to guests: The player picks pieces of cake and hands it to the guests until it's all gone.

  • Blowing up balloons: The player gets to pick between several baloons. Once a balloon is chosen, the player has to tap a fish's belly quickly to make it inflate the balloon.

  • Turning on the lights: The player guides a firebug along the twisted up wire of a party light strand using either the finger or by tilting the phone.

  • Assembling a broken radio: The player has to place the various components in the right holes in a broken radio so that Radioapan and his friends can get some music to dance to.

  • Decorating flags: The player gets to pick between several shapes of flags, then gets to color them using a variety of patterns and colors.

  • Hide-and-seek: The guests are hiding, so the player has to find the right guests hiding behind houses, bushes and rocks in a big scrollable area.

  • Handing out birthday presents: The various animals will give the player an audio clue as to what they want in their gift. The player then gets to choose between four presents with a picture on them. Giving out the right one will decrease the number of gifts. The game is finished when all the presents are handed out.
As the activities are completed, the meadow gradually gets more and more ready for the party with the visuals changing to reflect this. The game doesn't end once they are all done however, so the player can keep playing the games as many times as desired. The game resets once it's restarted.

There is also an included section where the player can go to listen to various clips, songs and stories from the radio show complete with illustrations to accompany the audio.
