If you have more than one friend or family member to play Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 with then there are few excuses not to own it. If you have a hatred for surreal and slightly puerile humour then this game probably isn't for you. Likewise, if you love the first game more than life itself then you might want to rent the sequel before committing yourself. For the rest of you though, I simply can't recommend this highly amusing and enjoyable mini-game collection highly enough.
Stubenhocker no, Partyfreunde yo!

Rabbids is definitely worthy of your dollar, especially if you still find yourself playing Wii Sports or are in the market for an easily accessible multiplayer game.
Once you've unlocked everything, the game loses some but not all of its appeal. The only thing left to do is improve at the games so you can kick your friends' butts when they visit. Still, that's a satisfying option and could easily keep the disc and your Wii active for a long time. Rayman: Raving Rabbids 2 may not have the variety and complexity of a Mario Party, but it also doesn't have a lot of the downtime. From beginning to end, it's a worthy sequel with polish and personality. Here's hoping the rabbids invade again in the near future.
While we still yearn for Rayman to return to his platforming roots, Raving Rabbids 2 is an amusing comic romp. The graphics and sound have Rabbid influence aplenty; the online leaderboards are a sure-fire hit; and the gameplay will win you over with its straightforward charm. Don't hesitate to let them take over your next holiday shindig.

I'm all for random humour and silliness, which Raving Rabbids delivers with aplomb. A little more genuine gameplay, whether in single or multiplayer, and this would move from good and hilarious to great and hilarious.
While I commend the developers at Ubisoft for trying to do new and original things in this sequel - one that comes only a year after its predecessor - it seems that the Rayman Raving Rabbids idea just isn't quite good enough for a real franchise. The crazy little Rabbids were really funny the first time, but they're just not nearly as entertaining this time around. What's left are some great mini-games, but only if you've got three or four people all going at it. Bonuses like like being able to customize the look of Rayman and the Rabbids, configuring a "trip" of your favorite mini-games, and uploading your scores to an online leaderboard fun little additions, but Rabbids 2 still just isn't quite enough to be a worthy sequel. It was fun, Ubisoft, but I don't think this one has the legs to become a yearly franchise.
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 does have some great attributes to it, but the hit and miss mini-games and the somewhat lackluster single player experience hamper the overall score. There is no doubt that some people will have a lot of fun playing the multiplayer component with their neighbors and friends, but it just doesn’t have enough oomph to really make it a must buy title for hardcore and regular gamers out there.
With Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, Ubisoft has created a sequel that's good but not great. It's got mini-games that will hook you immediately, a stronger emphasis on group play, and some genuinely hilarious moments. It's also got some bad mini-game mechanics that are recycled throughout the experience that drag it down. The on-rails shooter portions have some problems with slow reloads and aiming, but the scenery is great, and you only need to use the Remote to play now. It's also a relief that the game's leaderboards are now tied into Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, so you'll have immediate feedback on your high score. If you were a fan of the first game, you'll love this one and the wackiness of the Rabbids, but frankly, it's not an urgent purchase if you weren't.
Rayman Raving Rabbids is definitely not a bad game, especially not when you're playing it with friends and you find the absurd humour of the rabbids hilarious. However, it's clear this is a successor, one that's unfortunately not capable of being as great as the original. One way or the other, it's all just a little less fun.

Although the single-player experience isn’t as engaging as it was last year, Raving Rabbids 2 improves in a number of areas. All mini-games are designed to incorporate multiplayer, there’s a new online ranking system and the shooting mini-games have backgrounds taken from real locations. If you intend to play this with friends and family, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 will last you a long time, otherwise don’t go expecting too much from this sequel.
Despite numerous faults, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 is a decent sequel to a fabulous game by Ubisoft. Ignore the graphics and you have a game that is both great at parties and even better for plunger shooting fun. While it may not on my top ten list this year, it’s a good standby when you need to break the ice.
By no means is Raving Rabbids 2 a bad game, but everything about it feels a little bit slapdash, as if it's more an excuse to get another game featuring those daft rabbids out on store shelves by the holidays than a sequel that builds off of the success of the original and advances the series. The minigames are mostly decent, but few really inspire the same sort of cackling glee that the first game did. Maybe the onslaught of minigame collections for the Wii over the last year has as much to do with that as the quality of the game itself, but nevertheless, Raving Rabbids 2 can't help but feel a bit old hat. For those in serious need of a new rabbid fix, Raving Rabbids 2 is a sufficient way to feed the addiction, though it's probably better served as a rental instead of something to add to your collection.
Rabbids 2 is a sequel that has more style than substance. It's unfortunate, but it's true. While Ubisoft has added 50 new minis and colored the experience with unlockable costumes and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support (for high score tracking), the core games are less enjoyable than those in the first, which is very disappointing. If you plan to pick the game up to play with friends, you will still have some fun -- some of the minis still deliver -- but don't expect a compete package as varied as the original. And as a single-player game, I wouldn't bother. Ubisoft does have the laughs down, but if there's to a be a third installment, I hope it will focus on minis that really use the Wii remote and nunchuk in unique and intuitive ways.

Rent it, play it with your friends, and see what you think. I'm not saying you can't have fun with Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 if you're in good company, but you'll probably agree with me in that the mini-games are a little weak. The game includes 60 new games, so there's some fun to be had the first time around, but that's about it. I give this game three crazy rabbids out of five! How about you?
Ultimately, what we have here is collection of mini games that range from the dull to the sublime with unfortunately slightly more emphasis on the former. If you loved the first game then you may be slightly disappointed by the sequel however if you loved the first one then you may be just happy for some more Rabbid action. If you're like me however, and you find the mere presence of Rabbids drains the fun out of even the best games then there's simply not enough quality to be found to keep you coming back.
We loved the original, so playing through this game was like being kicked in the face by a rather large overly aggressive Rabbid. It never really does anything exciting, and when it does the moment is all too brief. Style over substance is nearly always a mistake in videogames, and whilst it looks great and has some excellent humour, it is never enough to rescue this game from the mire of mediocrity. And on that poetic ending, we advise you to either rent this or pick up the original for 15 second hand.
Unfortunately, the gameplay has been stripped of its modest nuance in favor of arbitrary Remote shaking and some tilt-steering around spartan racetracks. If you've never played a Rabbids game, you'll get a little more entertainment out of this one, if only for the pleasantly cheeky sense of humor. However, the repetitive and disconnected gameplay will eventually wear out even the most open-minded gamers. The inclusion of online leaderboards for each mini-game and an even more robust character customization feature can't do much to ameliorate the ridiculously repetitive gameplay. Coming out only a year after the original, RRR2 makes a good case against publishers rushing to release a sequel to a successful game on an annual basis. RRR2 has taken all the charm and thoughtful originality of the first game and reduced it to a catatonically simple formula that even the most ardent fan will find hard to enjoy for longer than a few hours.
It would be easy to give Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 an easy time simply because it's on the Wii and is a mini-game collection, but when the original game is a far more impressive game, Rabbids 2 has nowhere to hide. If played with friends you could get a weekend's entertainment out of it, but if you're new to the series, you're better off picking up the original.
It's about time for Ubisoft to give some respect to their character and the fans who gave him a reputation in the first place by either granting the Rabbids their own series or basing a real Rayman game around them. Mini-games are fun, but they often grow too old, too quickly; Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 is a clear example of this, but those looking for an easy-going multiplayer game might find some value here.
But if you loved the wacky humour, range of mini-games and stupid rabbits in RRR, you'll like this. There's still an argument for considering other mini-game collections with better ratios of good-to-poor games. The ratio in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 isn't even as good as it was in the first game. And overall the game isn't as entertaining as a rabbit doing a poo on a stage, which should tell you something.
Not only does Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 cure insomnia, but it improves your social skills as you will need to go out and find friends to replace the ones that don’t want to speak to you again after you force this one them. Come on Ubi, give us a full on Rayman platformer again instead of flogging a dead horse – or rabbit in this case.
WiiG4 TV: X-Play
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 should be a better game. It has amusing cut-scenes and some truly endearing characters. Yet apart from the costume pieces you unlock, there's nothing here to grab you for more than two trips per destination. The painfully simplistic controls and short nature of the mini-games aren't going to satisfy most players, even those who routinely fire up the Wii to play with friends. The overall package feels like a budget release masked as a full-featured game. Hopefully future installments will do a better job at balancing the fun with the funny.
