If you love quirky humor and challenging gameplay then this is a title you’ll want to be adding to your game collection. And you can’t beat the $20 price – just don’t let it fool you into thinking this is less of a game than it really is.

If you have a sense of humor and are looking for a shooter that is a change of pace from your usual fare, then you should definitely give Raze’s Hell a try. It’s not you’re typical game and in this case that’s a very good thing. To all the Teletubbies of the world: be afraid, be very afraid.

Artech, the developer of Raze's Hell, must be commended for trying something that is out of the norm. To me, this game deserves a moniker like "Oddworld" more than the actual games in the Oddworld series. Players who can overlook small faults like frame rate and repetitive gameplay elements will find something that is way out there in terms of storyline. For $19.99 plus tax, you just can't go wrong. Raze's Hell is definitely worth a look for gamers on a budget.

Raze's is a better than average game that is boosted by a Hell of a value. This game is a sterling example of what a budget title should be, and sets a high standard for value titles in the future. Check it out, right now!

RH is one of the more interesting and fresh games to come out this year. It’s certainly worth your attention since it’s so unique and different from a lot of other games currently out. While RH isn’t near perfect, it’s more than what you would expect from a budget title. If you’re open minded and looking for a really challenging and bizarre game, then give RH a try.

With so many basic shooters around these days, it's refreshing to find one so novel in its concept. The developers at THQ have taken an idea involving cute little creatures and flipped it on its head to produce a violent combat game that sees these creatures frequently dying in a sea of cuddly blood. An idea that's funny within itself, but adding the humorous dialogue and amusing storyline makes Raze's Hell an entertaining, as well as very playable, game. But the second best thing about this title is that it didn't stop there, and the developers have clearly thought long and hard into what would make Raze's Hell more than just a shooter. The best thing about this title is killing Teletubbies…

Raze's Hell is a fun but short-lived experience. While its story mode can be entertaining at times, it soon becomes repetitive as it's all shooting and killing. There are no puzzles or other things to do that can break the repetitive chain. The basic Xbox Live options may add some replay value, but that soon becomes tiresome also. If you want some quick bursts of fun by killing cute but annoying foul-mouthed merchandise, then I'd recommend at the very least that you rent this game.

Raze’s Hell is a decent action game that could’ve been much better given more polish and some focus on the controls and balancing the AI.

XboxGameSpot
Raze's Hell is the video game equivalent of burning all the hair off your sister's Barbie dolls. It's not about outmatching cunning opponents or solving complex puzzles. It's a game that scratches an itch that is so base and so primal that you can't help but smile as you eviscerate your saccharine enemies only to gorge yourself on their bloody entrails. If such ideas don't immediately appeal to you, take a pass on Raze's Hell. Otherwise, you should check it out.

There you have it, Raze?s Hell, has good deep story mode, Xbox Live play, mini-games, and Co-Op game play for under 20 bucks! This title may not get the press it surely deserves but hopefully word of mouth with get out and give companies like Artech the incentive to keep the innovative titles coming in the future.

There’s a good amount of value packed into Raze’s Hell, especially at its sub twenty dollar price tag. The gameplay is varied and functions without many hitches, but the graphics and audio may bother those who hold these areas of a title in high regard. Give this one a rent at least; you may find that you can satisfy your third-person shooting fix with a little publicized budget title.

What could have been a dark comedy ended up being a very dark day for gaming as a whole. Chalk this one up as another promising concept wasted by poor execution.

Raze’s Hell is like finding dry land in a swamp. It’s much better than the surrounding land, but at the same time it still has its problems and isn’t a place you’d want to call home.

Games like Raze's Hell make me wish I was still in college, because its subject matter is an academic paper waiting to happen. Its developers may have not had any intentions to take a few shots at certain nations of the world, but if you closely follow the news and play the game you'll see comparisons to the recent goings on in certain third world countries. Again, this may have been unintentional, but Raze's Hell is one of the most obvious examples of a game being used to make a political statement...err...or not! Either way, it's an immensely enjoyable shooter that features plenty of bang for your proverbial buck, so sign up, grab a weapon, and make those little $#%&#^*# pay!

For twenty bucks you are definitely getting your money's worth with this game. It can be frustrating at times, but the light hearted humor and the solid gameplay will get you through some of its flaws. If you are tight on money but are need some action in your life, this game is a great pickup for you.

XboxCheat Code Central
There's a chance that Raze's Hell won't get the promotion that it deserves because it's a budget title and as a result may be overlooked by the very gamers that would enjoy it most. Seek this one out even if it's just for a rental and tell your friends about it - or make new ones online.

There’s a great single player campaign mode accompanied by online options as well as some secret mini games. Online the game has a fair amount to offer (Deathmatches, King of the Hill, Capture the Flag and even Football) , although sadly the servers are pretty much empty at this moment in time and it’s something that we think is unlikely to alter, given the games rather low profile as well as many peoples abandonment of the Xbox in favour of Microsoft’s sleek new console. In spite of this, at such an attractive price, Raze’s Hell is definitely well worth a look. Just don‘t feel too guilty about putting the cute Kewletts out of their misery!

XboxBoomtown
Raze's Hell launched at the friendly retail price of £19.99, yet for its cheap price the game does not seem like a budget game it features a number of game modes which make it a valuable buy. Once you’ve finished the single player mode there are a bundle of other game modes for them to try, including mini-game, co-op and on-line play which are guaranteed to provide hours of extra enjoyment after the main game has been completed. The game itself is based on a funny concept and it keeps the player amused throughout, with one liners from the Kewletts and the joke signs placed on the battlefields.

XboxIGN
Raze's Hell is full of good ideas that beg for better implementation. Ultimately, the A.I. balancing makes the single player game is too difficult to be fun because players are forced to rely on their distance weapons to avoid confrontation. The multiplayer options are nice and make for some average online matches, but it won't be replacing Halo 2 anytime soon. Raze's Hell is an average third-person shooter with a few gameplay flaws and some interesting visuals. If you are up for the challenge, give this one a spin as a weekend rental.

XboxGameSpy
Raze's Hell is a darkly twisted little game that deserves good look. The single-player game provides plenty of challenge for hardcore gamers, while the multiplayer aspect is an entertaining experience for people of any experience level. And for those of us who've had our fill of the Barneys and Elmos and other sickeningly sweet creatures forced onto children today … it's finally payback time!

XboxWorth Playing
It should be said that while the general look and feel when playing the game is that of an unfinished work in progress, the satirical and dark comedy stands out as a saving grace. The Kewletts spew a steady stream of witty, biting comments in a high-pitched decisively "cute" voice, and they're sometimes . It's not just the cuteness or the wit that makes these comments so great, it's the fact that, at times, they are obviously sardonic references to real-life issues. This type of multifaceted humor is present in many aspects of the Raze's Hell, and even when the humor isn't making a veiled jab at current issues, it's still painfully funny. The game is worth playing, but mostly because of its humor and the fact that you get to enjoy the slaughter of cuteness.

If the difficulty curve were balanced a bit better, and the production values were higher -- meaning graphics, because the dialogue is awesome -- Raze's Hell would fare better in the score department. Still, I'd place this game in the upper-echelon of budget titles, as it definitely offers more bang for the buck than most titles you'd find at this price point.

Overall Raze’s Hell offers reasonable value for money, and if you’re even slightly politically aware or just like the idea of blowing up cute stuff, then you might well get a kick out of it. The gameplay is nowhere near as original as the setting, nor is it particularly spectacular for that matter, but just as you could do better, you could also do worse.

XboxEurogamer.net (UK)
Unusually of note is the price. THQ is letting it go for around the £14.99 mark in the UK, and with that taken into consideration it offers a surprisingly rounded package and some pretty generous banging for your buck. Reviewing holistically, this alone raises the game's score from average to ‘of interest to genre fans'. The game lacks the precision of a professional-level shooter to satiate the genre's dedicated players and its whole concept is undeniably more attractive on paper than in polygon. But nevertheless, its inventiveness, hit-and-miss humour, price point and fluffy toy defiling counterpoint to gaming's identikit scenario writing deserves confident praise.

Xboxvideogamer.com
Raze's Hell is in most aspects solid and fun to play, yet never inspires anything beyond simple appreciation. Although the premise is original and fun, it alone cannot hide the game's pretty bog standard gameplay. That said, at under £20 it represents a lot of value for money if you need something basic and fun to pass the time.

XboxGame Informer Magazine
It's great that there are some minigames and online multiplayer, but neither can make up for the fact that Raze's Hell just isn't very compelling. No amount of bells and whistles or comedic concepts can disguise the fact that this is another run-of-the-mill shooter.

XboxLawrence
Absolutely no aspect of the game is particularly impressive. Graphics are extremely bland and uninteresting, and the sound effects sound like they came off a "101 Action Sounds!" CD. There are several mini-games to tinker with, including soccer and golf. I wouldn't even go as far as to call them pleasant distractions, as they seem to just be included to mask the fact that there's simply not much to do in this game. Co-op is available at any time by pressing Start on the second controller, but it serves only to subject another person to the boredom of Raze's Hell. It's truly a yawn-inducing, repetitive gameplay experience that felt more like an exercise in apathy.
