R.C. Cars is an arcade racing game featuring radio controlled cars with high physical models. All action takes place on polysurfaces designed in such a manner that a car could bounce on big rocks, pits and bumps do acrobatic feats in the air while small surface irregularities could be plausibly and visually damped by a suspender. The radio antenna reacts in a physically feasible way on dynamic loads. Stones fly out from under the wheels. These and other physical behaviors gives a feeling of reality and make the game true spectacular.

The player can participate in several types of races including championship mode, time trial and single race against opponents controlled by AI. The Game consists of 10 tracks divided into 3 different groups. Each group has its own distinctive design and is set in a specific landscape. The player can select a car from 3 different types, each having different parameters and attributes like handling, acceleration and maneuverability. Furthermore each vehicle has several distinctive upgrades improving its performance on the immersive tracks.

    PROJECT 3 ANNOUNCES R.C. CARS

May 8, 2003 -- Dutch publisher Project Three Interactive and Russian publisher 1C Company today announced they have struck a publishing deal for the exciting racing game R.C Cars for PCCDROM. The game, created by the experienced Russian developer Creat Studio and published by 1C, will be released in June 2003 in Western Europe and Australia by Project 3.

R.C Cars features radio controlled cars racing on tracks set out in the real world, racing over a.o. beaches and through cities. The actual sized R.C. cars behave according to their real-world physics, but so does the environment they race in, with huge full size cars running them down and giant looking people trying to grab them or kicking at them. Picking up bonuses on the track and using the many shortcuts guarantee everlasting re-playability, while in Championship Mode the player can gain access to car-upgrades and hidden tracks. R.C. Cars supports all kinds of game pads and joysticks, with multiplayer modes for splits screen play and for playing on a LAN and the internet also available.

Project 3 COO Erik Schreuder said: "We are very excited to start working with a veteran games company like 1C and are aiming for more co-operation in the near future. R.C. Cars really is an extremely fun racing game, adding a truly interactive environment to the amazingly accurate r.c. car behavior and dazzling variety of tracks. It's playable on the majority of PC's out there while the graphics really look stunningly good. It simply is addictive, for both young and old."

1C Company International Sales Director Nikolay Baryshnikov said: "We are happy to sign a publishing deal with Project 3 for R.C. Cars as we believe that this company can provide aggressive marketing and great positioning for R.C. Cars. This is a great project that should be well embraced by the huge army of R.C. racing fans all around Europe. This game has already produced strong sales result in Russia and I look forward to its European launch".
